Upper Lusatia: In the Upper Lusatia holiday region, in eastern Saxony, a variety of experiences await you that will make your holiday unforgettable. Whether you want to explore the breathtaking natural landscape with its rolling hills and idyllic pond-dotted countryside, experience the rich culture in historic cities like Bautzen and Görlitz, or savour the region’s culinary delights—Upper Lusatia offers the perfect adventure for every taste and age group. https://www.oberlausitz.com
Saxon Switzerland: For outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers, our Saxon Switzerland offers everything your heart desires. Whether it’s hiking, having a coffee by the Elbe, or visiting landmarks like the Bastei Bridge or Königstein Fortress, let yourself be enchanted by Saxony’s beautiful natural scenery. The Saxon Switzerland National Park is the only non-Alpine rock national park in Germany—and, at about 94 square kilometres, one of the smallest in the country. The protected area consists of two sections on the right bank of the Elbe. The smaller section surrounds the spa town of Rathen. The main section stretches from Bad Schandau eastward to the Czech border, where it adjoins the Bohemian Switzerland National Park. National parks call for mindfulness. Anyone passing the Saxon Switzerland National Park sign should be aware that they are now entering a particularly sensitive nature reserve. https://www.saechsische-schweiz.de
Dres Dresden, as the state capital of the Free State of Saxony, offers our guests a wonderful day-trip destination that can be reached within 30 minutes by car or by train. Dresden’s Old Town is teeming with historic buildings. Neustadt, on the other hand, is the trendy nightlife district with colourful houses and cool street art. Among Dresden’s absolute top attractions are the Semper Opera House, the Zwinger, and the Frauenkirche. If you enjoy visiting exciting museums, you’ve come to the right place. Our favourite: the Panometer, with 360-degree panoramas and accompanying sound effects. Even beyond classic sightseeing, you’ll never get bored in Dresden. For example, you can stroll along the Brühlsche Terrasse, relax in the Großer Garten, or take a steamboat ride across the Elbe. https://www.dresden.de/de/tourismus/information/dresden-information.php https://www.22places.de/dresden-sehenswuerdigkeiten/ https://www.dresden-christmas.de/historisches/
Bautzen: With its historic old town, picturesque location overlooking the Spree, and many fairy-tale towers, Bautzen is for many people the epitome of a medieval city. Visitors from all over Germany find a unique atmosphere here. A stroll through the city or a visit to its cultural institutions allows visitors to immerse themselves in another world. In one of the city’s many diverse restaurants, while exploring the heritage of the Sorbs, or on a walk along the tranquil banks of the Spree, guests can unwind and relax. In addition to its unique history, the Bautzen region also impresses: the rolling hills of Upper Lusatia, unspoiled nature, tranquil lakes, and romantic half-timbered houses captivate people from near and far. Whether hiking, biking, or on a pilgrimage—Bautzen invites you to take a break. The focus is not only on being close to nature but also on Sorbian culture. The centuries-long coexistence of Germans and Sorbs continues to this day, allowing guests to experience Sorbian culture up close. https://www.bautzen.de/tourismus-kultur-freizeit https://ninasfachwerkliebe.de/bautzen-entdecken-sehenswuerdigkeiten/

The property was very nice. The appartment was recently renovated. Lars and his family were very friendly. The place is good to do many things in the area.
This is a two bedroom "loft conversion" over the family home. It was reasonably well equipped.. The area is quite rural with easy access to local train/bus service. We had a car and toured the area, especially the forest areas, as we had a dog with us. Enjoyed the area and the property as a holiday visit.
Overall reasonable value for money and in line with our requirements.
Freundliche Vermieter, top Sauberkeit, Ausstattung hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen, unkomplizierte Orga, großzügiges Objekt.
Kortom, aanrader!
