Escape to this peaceful off-grid cabin tucked into 12 private acres of Vermont forest. The cabin blends rustic charm with a remote feel, yet just 10 mins from downtown Randolph’s local shops and restaurants. With the gentle sound of a brook and trees and birdsong surrounding you, this cozy cabin is your basecamp for rest, creativity, or adventure. This cabin is perfect for couples, small families, or friends looking to reset and recharge in nature.
This is a completely off-grid cabin powered by solar and there are some considerations and limitations .
The water is sourced from an on-site well and although is filtered through several stages, a UV sanitizer, and regularly tested for bacteria, we recommend bringing water for consumption. The water is perfectly safe for bathing, dishes, and other daily use.
Hot water is provided by an electric water tank enough for about an 8-10min shower. You’ll want to wait about 10-15mins for the water to fully heat up per additional shower.
Please be mindful of conversation of water as the septic is a holding tank that we need to pump out when full, unlike a traditional septic with a leach field.
The cabin is fairly open-concept with the kitchen, dining table, and living room space in the main cabin area. The two single bedrooms and bathroom are also on the main floor. The upstairs loft is accessed via ladder and has two areas- the sitting area/game room and loft bedroom- that separated by a walkway that overlooks the main cabin area.
Outside is a picnic table with a large adjustable umbrella to help stay cool in the shade. We have both a single and double hammock to take in the surroundings or catch a nap under the trees. Adjacent is the fire pit area where you can relax by a fire to wind down the evening.
In the cooler months you can get cozy inside in front of a hot fire in the wood stove.
We have wood bundles for purchase available there at the cabin for the outdoor fire pit and indoor wood stove.
