Hiking and walking trails, biking routes, equestrian centre and cross-country ski trail are in the immediate vicinity. The Appenzell railway stop with connections to Appenzell, St. Gallen and Altstätten is within walking distance, and the Alpstein for hiking, climbing and mountaineering is in the immediate vicinity.
