Our tastefully furnished duplex holiday apartment, “Grachtenrefugium,” isn’t just called a “refuge”—it truly is a retreat for up to two people seeking peace and relaxation. The spacious, south-west-facing apartment is located in the new Grachtenpark I next to the Landhaus Steinfeld, right on the Siel, and offers a beautiful view of the hotel’s park and the water with boats passing by. <br><br>The living and dining area with a kitchenette, flooded with light through its many floor-to-ceiling windows, is modern and furnished with an eye for detail. Here you’ll find a dining table with five chairs, a comfortable seating area made of soft leather, and a cosy reading chair with a view of the water. A smart TV and an internet radio (DAB and Bluetooth) are also available, as are a few books for rainy days. The kitchen is fully equipped and features, among other things, a quiet dishwasher, an induction cooktop with a convection oven, a microwave, a filter coffee maker, a Nespresso machine, a refrigerator, a kettle, a toaster, and an egg cooker. The balcony, which gets sun from morning until late afternoon, is furnished with two folding chairs with cushions, a table, and two umbrellas. <br><br>On this level, there is a bedroom with a double bed (1.80 x 2.00 m with memory foam mattress pads) as well as a large wardrobe with ample storage space, even for longer stays. In the brightly tiled bathroom, which is flooded with natural light and features a super-shallow glass shower and a heated towel rack, you’ll find a washer-dryer. A hair dryer is, of course, also provided.<br><br>The storage room contains a separate freezer, an iron, an ironing board, and a clothes drying rack.<br><br>The studio, with its modern, nautical decor, is also flooded with light thanks to two skylights facing each other and a floor-to-ceiling window facing west with a view of the hotel’s park. There you’ll find a height-adjustable desk with a swivel chair, a comfortable couch, two armchairs, and another smart TV.<br><br>Throughout the entire apartment (except for the studio), underfloor heating ensures a pleasant, warm environment when needed. The living areas and bedroom feature dimmable downlights, allowing you to customise the lighting just as easily as with the existing designer reading lamps. All windows are triple-glazed and equipped with double roller blinds or pleated blinds. The main windows also have fly screens. The bedroom and the two skylights in the studio are fitted with electric exterior shutters.<br><br>Free Wi-Fi is available (on-site registration required, no encryption).
