The town of Gjerrild is located in the far corner of Djursland, which means with coast on several sides: Cliffs for fishing and long beaches for swimming. Inland there are hilly beech forests and the disused monastery Sostrup Castle, quiet lakes and rich wildlife. This nature, which extends around Gjerrild, is not overcrowded, but easily accessible via disused railroad lines and small roads. Young and old will certainly also enjoy a day trip to the amusement park Djurs Sommerland and experience active days in the beautiful National Park Mols Bjerge.
