Take a hike around the Sengbachtalsperre dam followed by a detour to Schloss-Burg an der Wupper. Another highlight is a visit to the Solingen Industrial Museum, where you can experience the history of the manufacture of Solingen scissor models first-hand.You can also experience nature up close on a hike along the Wupper to the Müngsten Bridge Park, where you can marvel at Germany's highest railway bridge while playing a game of mini golf.Take a hike around the Sengbachtalsperre dam followed by a detour to Schloss-Burg an der Wupper. There you can savour typical regional delicacies such as the Bergische Kaffeetafel. For all animal lovers, we have another absolute highlight up our sleeve: how about breakfast on an alpaca meadow? With a deliciously filled picnic basket, you can not only feast on the pasture, but also watch the fluffy alpacas - guaranteed great fun for the whole family. You can combine a visit to Wuppertal Zoo with a round trip on the famous Wuppertal suspension railway or visit the extraordinary Waldfrieden sculpture park. In the Oberberg district, a day trip to the open-air museum in Lindlar is well worthwhile. Or visit the Aggertalhöhle Ründeroth cave in Engelskirchen, where you can marvel at coral fossils millions of years old. No matter what you feel like doing, we will be happy to provide you with extensive information to help you plan your holiday. And if that's not enough action for you, we also have a few suggestions for cyclists and adrenalin junkies. The mountain bike and racing bike tours can start directly from the holiday flat, especially for nostalgia fans: Ride on the approx. 15 km long Klingenring circuit. 125 amateurs fought for victory in the historic race, which was held for the first time in 1954. Even today, the 3.2 km long climb between Wupperhof and Witzhelden is considered one of the most spectacular downhill sections. From Wupperhof at 96 metres altitude, the route climbs to Witzhelden at 234 metres altitude. Or would you like to cycle a longer tour of a cycling classic? How about the Bergisch section of the famous "Rund um Köln" cycle race with its short climbs and legendary cobblestone passages? here too we are happy to provide you with extensive information. (Motorway connection to the A3 approx. 20 min). Visit the extensive Cologne Zoo, take the Cologne cable car across the Rhine, visit the Cologne Cathedral and then stop off in one of the quaint little restaurants in the historic old town, create your own chocolate in the Cologne Chocolate Museum and actively experience the production of this fine delicacy from bean to bar. A great experience for the whole family is a day at the Phantasialand theme park near Brühl with its many themed areas and shows. Düsseldorf awaits you with its huge aqua zoo and the historic old town, which invites you to take a leisurely stroll. Afterwards, relax in one of the cafés on the Rhine promenade. Also worth seeing is a tour of the Media Harbour with its typical houses designed by architect Frank O. Ghery.
