The Wattschnecke vacation home welcomes you to beautiful North Frisia! Here, you can enjoy the distinctive, fresh sea air, stroll through the surrounding fields and meadows, explore the Wadden Sea, and take advantage of the extensive network of trails perfect for bike rides.

This 62-square-meter, detached cottage—renovated in 2022/2023—is located on our farmstead dating back to the 1930s in the rural, agricultural village of Bohmstedt near Husum. It features a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom with a large shower, a fully equipped kitchen (including a dishwasher, oven, toaster, refrigerator with freezer compartment, Senseo coffee maker, and microwave), and a living room with a high-quality fold-out sofa bed for up to 2 additional guests. There is also a private small patio with patio furniture and a grill for our guests. You are welcome to park your bicycles free of charge in our shed on the property.
The Wattschnecke is a smoke-free home. All rooms have mosquito and fly screens. Wi-Fi is available free of charge, as is an initial supply of bed linens and towels. Pets are not allowed in the accommodation; parking spaces are available directly in front of the vacation home. Check-in is flexible starting at 4:00 PM thanks to our key box at the entrance to the vacation home.
We also have a cat, three rabbits, and a few chickens living with us on the farm.
You can get fresh rolls in the morning from the bakery, which is located on the same street as the vacation home (a 5-minute walk). A public playground in town is within a 3- to 5-minute walk.
You can reach the North Sea coast—specifically the nearest swimming spot, Lüttmoorsiel—from the Wattschnecke in 15 minutes by car. Husum is also only about 16 minutes away; Flensburg is 45 minutes away, and the Danish border is just as close. In addition, the ferry ports of Schlüttsiel (about 30 minutes) and Dagebüll (about 35 minutes) are nearby, serving as gateways to the Halligen and offshore islands (such as Sylt and Amrum) for a day trip.
And if you’re in the mood for the other sea—the Baltic Sea—that’s no problem either: the charming town of Eckernförde is just about an hour away.
