SUMMER SEASON:
From our local mountain, the Oisternig, you have a breathtaking view of the Gail and Gitsch valleys and, on the other side, of Italy and Slovenia. This is just one of the many opportunities for hiking or mountain biking.
The many lakes in the immediate vicinity offer additional beautiful destinations for day trips. Within an hour, you can reach the Soca River in Slovenia, known as one of the best whitewater rafting and canoeing areas in Europe. The Pressegger See beach is about a 15-minute drive from the house, and the Wertschach outdoor pool is just 400 metres away from us.

The Gailtal Apartment House is located in Wertschach, in the heart of one of the most beautiful parts of Austria.
We’re also happy to accommodate larger groups, as it’s possible to connect the apartments within the building. This allows us to offer unique accommodation in an old Austrian farmhouse for 2 to 20 people.
The Gailtal Apartment House is located in close proximity to four ski resorts (Nassfeld, Gerlitzen Alpe, Arnoldstein Dreiländereck, and the Italian town of Tarvisio [Monte Lussari], as well as the Pressegger and Weissensee lakes and all the recreational opportunities the Alps have to offer.
The pleasant weather of the Southern Alps, combined with your apartment in our building, creates a warm atmosphere perfect for relaxation and the foundation for a stress-free holiday. Enjoy your summer or winter holiday—whether active, relaxing, pleasant, or romantic—we’re open year-round!
We’ve tastefully and stylishly renovated one of the oldest farms for you, right in the heart of this village of 300 residents. Our three apartments offer state-of-the-art and comfortable amenities and are self-contained units with their own separate exterior entrances. The large garden on the south side of the house, just like the view of the mountains, is available to all guests.



On-site costs: Included in the price are: - Bed linens and towels, - Wi-Fi, - Parking, - BBQ area, - Firewood for the fireplace/tiled stove, - Ski storage A washing machine in the common area and the 1,000 m² garden on the south side of the house are also available for free use. During the summer months: A Triumph Speedmaster motorcycle is available for rent upon request.
