Our quiet, 68-square-meter cottage is located at an elevation of 680 metres in a holiday home community in Fichtelberg, specifically in the Hüttstadl/St. Veit district, which is also a climatic health resort. Spread over two levels, it offers plenty of space for you to enjoy a relaxing holiday. On the ground floor, you’ll find a small bathroom with a window and shower, a small storage room, a hallway, and a living room with a dining area and a small, separate kitchen. The kitchen was completely renovated in June 2023 and features modern amenities. Upstairs, there is a master bedroom with two single beds and space to set up an additional travel cot for a child, as well as a small additional room with two single beds. On our large south-facing terrace and in the garden, you can enjoy balmy summer evenings with an unobstructed view of the Klausenturm and the forest, which is right nearby and waiting to be explored. For this, you’ll find 2 lounge chairs, a table with 4 chairs, and a patio umbrella. It’s not at all unusual to see rabbits and deer crossing the property from time to time. A charcoal grill is available in our garden shed for barbecue evenings. Our parking space is located right next to the house. Fichtelberg, with a pharmacy, ice cream shop, and a well-stocked Edeka supermarket (including a bakery), is about 3 km away. Here you’ll find everything you need for daily use.
Tea towels, bath towels, and bed linens are not provided—please be sure to bring your own!
Not suitable for wheelchair users and/or people with mobility impairments!
Recreational Activities:
Right from the house, there are many opportunities to explore nature and the adventure region around the Ochsenkopf, which rises to 1,024 metres. For those interested in culture, the Festival City of Bayreuth, the World Heritage Site of Bamberg, Waldsassen, the porcelain town of Selb, or the beautiful Bohemian cities in the Czech Republic are all worth a visit. For nature lovers, there are numerous hiking, skiing, and biking trails around the Ochsenkopf, the Schneeberg, and the Kösseine. The various headwaters of the Main, Eger, Naab, and Saale rivers are also in the immediate vicinity. Hikes around Lake Fichtel, Lake Weissenstadt, and Lake Nagler await you. For those seeking action, there are, of course, plenty of options here as well. Alpine Coaster, Deval go-kart track, wildlife park with forest lodge, forest adventure trail, cable car at the Ochsenkopf, open-air theatre, and rock labyrinth at the Luisenburg, Pottenstein Adventure Rocks, Echo Forest, mountain bike park, bird of prey park, alpaca hikes, barefoot sensory trail, and much more... There’s truly something for everyone here, young and old alike!
If the weather happens to be bad, there’s a satellite TV with a DVD player, a radio, and various board games available in the living room.
