The apartment space I stayed in was in a very beautiful old part of the city. It is a lovely area to walk. The house was built in the 1800s and it was very fun to look around. My hosts were very nice and friendly. It is a great place to stay.

This little place was finished and decorated very beautifully. The snacks and appliances and kitchen supplies were amazing. We are able bodied but I want to point out that the bedrooms are all upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. Our host was awesome and answered any questions promptly. We would book again.

Our stay at the maids quarters was great! We pulled up at the right time and were greeted by the hosts, Jeanine and Dylan - who were very friendly. There was a sweet handwritten card waiting for us on the door and the place was very clean and decorated nicely. The outdoor area was nice to sit and relax by the pond in the morning. I would definitely stay here next time we’re in town and would recommend their place to anyone! Thanks for having us!

Cool-ly historic (and just know that includes narrow tread width on stairs), clean, nicely appointed with super, super hosts. Renovated bath. Unit's porch is inviting. All landscaping is beautiful, and shared koi pond with water feature and covered sitting area is restful and lovely. We wanted for nothing.

We love to travel and almost always stay in a unique property. We always love meeting new people!

Why they chose this property

The neighborhood is unique and diverse and quiet! The people are friendly and someone is always walking a dog!

What makes this property unique

Our home was built in 1854 and is located in the historic Haight Village of Rockford. It’s unique, quirky, old and filled with lots of character! We have a lovely deck and koi pond for relaxing. There are fruit trees, grape vines, raspberries and herbs on the property as well. We’re walking distance from Downtown Rockford, The Sports Factory, the river, Davis Park and the Embassy Suites.
