You can also visit the numerous towers and fortresses as well as the remains of old buildings, which are well worth a visit. The region is also known for its wine production, and there are numerous tasting rooms in the area. If you are longing for the big city again, you can reach the interesting capital Zagreb in less than an hour by car!
