Nestled in the heart of the Southern East Frisia holiday region, our holiday home, Huus de Freese, is situated in a picturesque and quiet location on a side street in a typical fen colony, surrounded by trees and meadows.

The house was completely renovated and remodeled in 2023 to offer our guests a cosy and comfortable living experience. The character of the house has been preserved and blends beautifully with the diverse surroundings and ever-present nature.

Thanks to its unique location, it offers many recreational activities: The Stikelkamper and Hesler Forests, the East Frisia Hiking Trail, and the German Fehn Route are all in the immediate vicinity, inviting you to take walks, hikes, and especially bike rides, since the East Frisians are no strangers to hills, inclines, or even mountains. Our campground offers lockable sites and charging stations for bicycles and e-bikes.

Not far away, the small towns of Leer, Aurich, Emden, and Winschoten (NL)—with their fascinating histories, old towns, and pedestrian zones—invite you to stroll and linger.

The vast North Sea coast, the East Frisian Islands, and the Ammerland region with its parks and gardens are easily accessible by car and, with their numerous events, are ideal for day trips.

If you’d like, during the spring and summer months you can enjoy a special holiday experience by accompanying the local beekeeper as he goes about his work in the fields adjacent to the house.

Huus de Freese Holiday Home:

The ground floor features a modern built-in kitchen, fully equipped with various appliances.

The living area, including the dining table, features a cosy seating area and a flat-screen TV.

One bedroom with a double bed (180x200) is located on the ground floor. Two additional bedrooms, each with two single beds (90x200), are on the upper floor.
A dryer and a washing machine are available upon request. A garden with a patio and barbecue facilities is also available for your private use. 



Check-in is available from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and check-out from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
