The apartment with separate entry is located on the ground floor of our house built in 2005.
Through a small entrance area separated with a curtain you enter the main room of the apartment. The living room contains a well-equipped kitchenette. On top of the usual electrical appliances you will have enough dishes and cutlery; there will be no need to use the dishwasher after each meal.
In the large separate bedroom you will find a double king size bed with bedside tables and a large built-in wardrobe with sliding doors for plenty of storage space.
In the bathroom there is a shower with floor enclosure. A narrow washing machine with 8kg capacity is also available there.
We have designed the apartment to be as barrier-free as possible, given the circumstances: It is located at ground level with wheelchair-friendly access. All rooms and doors are designed for accessibility for common wheelchairs; i.e. both bedrooms and the bathroom have wide doors. Access to the apartment is without steps and with only moderate slope also suitable for wheelchairs.
Situated in the middle of the northern Eifel, Monschau is also called the "Pearl of the Eifel". The picturesque old town, situated in the Rur valley, has enchanted many a visitor with its narrow alleys and medieval half-timbered houses.
Immediately north of Monschau's old town is the suburb Imgenbroich. From an aesthetic point of view, Imgenbroich cannot compete with the beautiful medieval old town of Monschau or the picturesque district of Höfen with its multi-award-winning beech hedges, but it has exactly the infrastructure that is important for a vacation in a self-catered apartment, because in recent decades it has gradually developed into the shopping center of the northern Eifel. Here you can find everything for your daily needs (and far beyond).
For shopping, there are branches of the discount grocery stores Aldi Süd and Lidl, branches of the drugstore dm as well as the clothing markets C&A, Kik, and Ernsting's Family. Furthermore, one can find a Mein Real and a Kaufland market in Imgenbroich and last but not least the medium-sized private department store Victor.
Various medical practices give the security of not being helpless in case of emergency, in the worst case you can find help in the hospital in neighboring Simmerath.
The apartment is quietly located in a residential area on the outskirts of town, but is still within walking distance of the center, so that the car does not have to be used for every errand.
