D'Horizon Comfort Suites: Family-friendly 2 bedroom apartments with Ocean Views

I am a Dominican-at-heart despite living in the USA for about 30 years now! I work as a teacher in Brooklyn, NY and totally enjoy living and learning, eagerly anticipating Summer breaks (and in between) to explore around the world with my husband Lesley and our two teenagers. The many travels with my family have exposed me to the unique features that are necessary in an accommodation to ensure an individual or a large group feel comfortable and at home while away from home. A comfortable accommodation takes care of the little but important things for a family leaving them with more time to enjoy their escape, bond even more, and make lasting memories! I chose this neighborhood primarily because of how private, safe, and peaceful the area is, and not for the mere fact that I am a native from Calibishie Hill, Dominica. This area is located way above sea level and shows off spectacular views of the ocean and the business area located below at the village central. Although this neighborhood is perched on the hilltop, it is less than 10 minutes in distance of the shops, bars, and restaurants. This close proximity allows guests to enjoy the night life in the village central and quickly retreat to their comfortable accommodation where they can escape the noise. I continue to return to Calibishie Hill whenever I get a chance from my job and family in New York for many reasons. Despite migrating to the US and establishing a life in New York over the last 30 years, this is that one area that I return to every year to regain a sense of self, experience tranquility, and rejuvenation from the hustle and bustle that come with living in a big city. On Calibishie Hill, the peace that nature presents whether through birdwatching, hiking, swimming in the ocean or rivers, visiting the nearby waterfall, enjoying a good chat over fresh seafood while dining, or just sitting on the veranda reading a book until the beautiful sunset on the horizon just before the stars begin to twinkle, are incomparable to what I have experienced any other place in the world. In this location, its all about you - nothing else!!

D'Horizon Comfort Suites is unique because it was recently renovated from inside out to modernize the space and amenities, making it feel less cluttered and more comfortable. More specifically, each apartment at the property has a fully equipped kitchen stocked with a full-sized refrigerator, a 4-burner stove/oven and high quality pots and pans just to name a few available essentials that are necessary to cook your own meal if you chose to dine-in instead. Unlike other accommodations, we understand how messy one gets after a day of outdoor exploration and therefore provide the convenience of a washer when or if desire. It's also unique because of the way it boasts such spectacular ocean views as well as glimpses of the neighboring islands - Guadeloupe and Marie Galante - from both floors of the building. Even more, the property nestles slightly above the main part of the village allowing guests to enjoy the busier area with supermarkets, restaurants and bars, and retreat back to their apartment located in a much private and quiet area.
