Almhaus Louise - in the middle of the Zillertal Arena ski area - coziness & comfort

When there’s no snow anywhere else—we’ve got it! Guaranteed snow in winter—an oasis of tranquility in summer. You can ski almost right up to the front door, and in summer, you can start hiking right away, as two hiking trails are located in the immediate vicinity of the houses.

Almhaus Louise (4 rooms each, approx. 104 m² of living space, 9 beds, built in 2008) is located directly in the Zillertal Arena ski area on the Gerlosplatte/Plattenkogel at an elevation of 1,700 metres. It is a detached house that is entirely at the guests’ disposal.

We ourselves spend about 3 months a year in the house. That’s why we’ve placed particular emphasis on cosiness and comfort. Unlimited internet access (including Wi-Fi) is available free of charge—both wirelessly and via cable.
The lower floor is equipped with underfloor heating, as is the upper bathroom.

Kitchen/Living Room
The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, ceramic stove, dishwasher, microwave, and radio. There is an ample supply of dishes, glasses, pots, bowls, etc. You don’t need to bring dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, tea towels, cleaning supplies, a selection of spices, laundry detergent, etc.; these are all provided in sufficient quantities.
The living area features a modern seating area and a TV. Thanks to the many windows, the room is very bright and cosy.

Bedrooms
- 1 bedroom with a double bed, spacious closet, and TV. One of the double beds features a motorised (electrically adjustable) slatted frame, and both beds are equipped with high-quality cold-foam mattresses (lower level).
- 1 bedroom with a double bed and a comforter, a spacious closet, a TV, and access to the balcony (upper floor).
- 1 bedroom with 2 bunk beds, a spacious closet, a TV, and access to the balcony (upper floor).

Bathrooms
1 bathroom with a bathtub, shower, and toilet on the upper floor.

There is also a separate storage room on the upper floor with a washing machine, iron, and ironing board. Use is free of charge.

Miscellaneous
- 1 parking space in front of the house on the street, plus a free underground parking space,
- A large terrace with a table and two benches. The lower level is barrier-free and wheelchair-accessible.
- A daily bread roll delivery service is available during the winter months.

Perfect for skiers in winter, as the area has guaranteed snow and is part of the Zillertal-Arena ski region, with a total of 166 kilometres of slopes (10 km black, 114 km red, 42 km blue). The lifts are nearby, and you can ski right up to the house.
The cross-country ski trail runs 20 metres below the house. The ski area is also very appealing to experienced skiers, as it offers many off-piste areas. A snowboard park has been built in Gerlos for snowboarders, and several ski jumps are set up at Gerlosplatte/Duxeralm during the winter.

Still a beginner? The local ski school’s meeting point is less than 500 metres from our house, and there’s also a large ski rental shop there.

In summer, you can enjoy the wonderful tranquility of the Silberleiten; unwind and leave your everyday life behind.
The houses are located in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park, Austria’s largest national park (approx. 900 km²). Several hiking trails pass right by the house. Due to its proximity to the Krimml Waterfalls, the air has a significantly higher concentration of so-called “light” air ions. This is particularly beneficial for people with allergies and asthma.
