About this property

Large 2-bed 2-bath ground-floor apartment; communal pool, close to village/beach

Situated in the Mato Serrao part of Carvoeiro, just 1.5 km north west of the picturesque and highly popular resort centre, Vila Nova is an attractive, well maintained, low rise collection of thirty six apartments built in the older, more traditional Portuguese style.

Our apartment is ground floor and has a spacious living/dining room with private WiFi, Smart TV & DVD player (small selection of DVDs), and small book library. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, open plan lounge/diner and two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king-size bed and ensuite shower room with walk-in shower. The twin bedroom has two single beds. The family bathroom has a bath and separate walk-in shower. At the rear of the apartment is an enclosed private courtyard with patio furniture, sunbeds & BBQ. To the front of the apartment is an informal enclosed area with dining table and seating. Outside at the front is a small patio with outdoor table and chairs. A cot and high chair are available. The living room also has a wood-burning stove (for the cooler winter months).

Ideal for family holidays, Vila Nova has a grassy children's play area, a large communal swimming pool (unheated) with sunbeds and sun shades, plus a kids paddling pool, pool table, restaurant & snack bar, mini-market and reception. Vila Nova offers free guest WiFi around the pool. The Vila Nova restaurant on the complex is excellent and reputed for its fresh fish (note the restaurant closes during the winter months and is closed on Sundays).

* PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE: so please ensure you have your holiday insurance in place before booking in the unlikely event that you may need to cancel your holiday.

* SECURITY OF PERSONAL BELONGINGS: We do not accept any responsibility for the safety of guests' personal belongings. A safe is provided in each of the bedrooms for guest use. Please ensure your holiday (or other) insurance will cover your personal items in the event of loss or damage.

* ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING: We do not permit charging of electric vehicles from the apartment. If you are driving an electric vehicle, please check with Reception for location of the nearest EV charging points.

* MUNICIPAL TOURIST TAX: from 1st May 2024, a new tax local tourist has been introduced - which will be added to your balance payment. The tourist tax will be charged per person per night (for all persons of age 13 years or over) as follows:
1 April - 31 October: 2 euros per person per night (to max 14 euros per person, per stay)
1 November - 31 March: 1 euro per person per night (to max 7 euros per person, per stay)

* WINTER BOOKINGS (DECEMBER - MARCH): an additional fee will be charged for gas & electricity used during your stay, payable in Euros cash to Vila Nova reception on your departure.

* EXIT CLEANING FEE: an additional fee of GBP £50 will be added to your booking fee to cover departure change-over cleaning.

Lovely stay

Fabulous! I highly recommend. Just a short walk to everything you need (about 25 min or so). We didn’t have a car and didn’t need one. On site restaurant was amazing. We took an Uber at the start to a supermarket to get our groceries for the week and that was just fine. Random groceries can be purchased down by Carvoeiro beach. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

Wonderful family holiday

Spacious and cool property, well located near to Carvoeiro. Property had everything you would need and more, items such as balsamic vinegar and salt, pepper etc had been left which was great - many places dispose of this type of thing incuring unnecessary waste. The pool was ideal and the food at the restaurant was delicious. We would 100% return

Much space, bedrooms and livingroom are big, nice to bbq, big kitchen, near swimming pool. When it’s very hot w’ll missed an airconditioning. It’s nice to have two bathrooms, but one needs an update. Enough space to park. A good location to explore the Algarve.

Lovely family accommodation

This is our second visit to apartment 2C this time we had our 18mth grandson Blair and we had a brilliant time. Apartment was ideal for Blair very safe patio and the pool and play park on complex ideal. The apartment is very well equipt with cot & highchair provided and the maid service excellent. Enjoyable.

We did enjoy our stay but the fact that the garden lost the sun at around 3.30 was disappointing as at this time of year it was cold then. No English TV channels was disappointing. Needs new sofas. Good bedding and towels. Lovely bathrooms. Spotlessly clean.

Fantastic stay!

Lovely house in a lovely part of the world. The pool is clean and quiet. The outdoor patio allows for al fresco dinners. It is 15 min walking from the beach downhill and is just 3/3.80€ for a taxi/Uber back from town. Carvoeiro is lovely and has a lovely beach. It is very easy to find and near Portimao and another places. The boat tour to the caves is a must. This house is in a quite family friendly palced but you will not feel like you do not belong if you are not a family. The restaurant near the pool is lovely with fresh fish and really good wine. Very positive experience. We count on return! Excellent price for money

Relaxation

We have visited this area for many years. This is our second stay at 2C Vila Nova. Property is spacious. Plenty seating areas. Comfortable settees in lounge. Main bedroom and en-suite modernised recently. Beds comfortable. Kitchen well equipped,could do with an update as could 2nd bathroom. Showers are good. We had to ask for outdoor loungers as one broke and others were in a bad state. Quickly replaced with extra loungers from pool area. Lovely shared pool just 30 second walk from apartment as well as a small toddler pool. Plenty of restaurants in town but we can’t find any to beat the on site Vila Nova restaurant. The chef’s fish cookery is excellent. Never had a sub-standard meal here.Staff are friendly and welcoming. Property is ideally situated, 15 minute walk to town centre Can walk back but it is uphill. Taxis readily available. We hired a car as my husband is not able to walk far. Did a lot of sightseeing and visited other areas of Algarve easily. This is a quiet area so suits older couples and young children alike. Another very enjoyable relaxing holiday in the Algarve

Hallo Justin and Joy, wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub an der Algarve. Es hat alles sehr gut geklappt. Schlüsselübergabe per Safe, Reinigung einmal während unseres Aufenthalts!! Appartement très agréable, on s'est senti comme chez nous, aucun vis-à-vis.

15 jours de vacances merveilleuses. Tous les jours nous avons pu faire des visites sans faire beaucoup de route. Beaucoup de restaurants où on peut manger de la cuisine traditionnelle à des prix très abordables.

É o segundo ano que passamos férias aqui. Tudo impecável, a casa é muito boa, e com tudo o que precisa. A unica coisa um pouco estranha é que o logradouro, no qual se situa o grelhador, tem acesso por um dos quartos (não é prático). Mas de resto tudo 100%.

Excelentes férias!

Localização ótima, urbanização calma e muito bonita, bom acessos e proximidade de praias. A casa é muito espaçosa, muito bem mobilidada e equipada, com todos os confortos necessarios. Boa internet. Espaço exterior traseiro muito agradável, com um barbecue portátil mas que funciona muito bem. Este espaço apenas tem um problema quanto à sua funcionalidade uma vez que o acesso de faz por um dos dois quartos (aparentemente não faz muito sentido). Crianças gostaram da piscina. Recomendo. Foram umas férias fantásticas.
