Unwind in total privacy at The River Road Retreat, a premier Willamette Riverfront estate set on 2.5 acres in South Salem. With 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and no neighboring homes, this secluded haven offers an unforgettable Oregon escape. Relax on the expansive riverfront deck listening to the birds and watching the sunset —10 min. from downtown Salem , 15 min. to Independence and Oregon wine country. Perfect for family gatherings, wine tours, hanging at the river or a serene PNW retreat.

We offer a BBQ (propane), corn hole and fire pit. 3 adult kayaks, 1 teenage size and a paddle board (please bring your own life vest). A fully stocked kitchen, all appliances including a wine fridge.

The space
Our spacious layout offers comfort, open living spaces, and privacy across three distinct bedroom setups:

Main Living Space: An open-concept living and dining area alongside a large kitchen featuring a spacious island—perfect for cooking and gathering.

Master Suite: Primary bedroom featuring a comfortable king bed and its own private en-suite bathroom. Smart TV, Black-out curtains and ceiling fan.

Second Bedroom: Queen bedroom located right next to a full hallway bathroom equipped with a bathtub. Black-out curtains and ceiling fan.

Hybrid Rec-Room / 3rd Bedroom: A versatile space featuring a double queen bed, a comfortable couch, and its own private bathroom. Smart TV, Black-out curtains and ceiling fan.

Outdoors, enjoy the 2.5-acre lawn and riverfront deck (note: 3 steps up to the deck, 2 steps into one room).

Guest access
You’ll enjoy full access to the entire home, riverfront deck, and roughly 1.25 acres of grounds! Please note that the other 1.25 acres is reserved for our friendly goats Hazel and Stella (secured behind a locked electric fence) and is off-limits to guests. The garage is also private/locked.

What makes this property unique

You’re not going to find a short term rental on the Willamette River in salem WITH river access. But what makes this property even more special is the 2.5 acres that spans alongside the river. No neighbors to the right, no neighbors to the left. And across the river? farm land. With little to no light pollution, stargazing is a must! On a clear night it’s absolutely stunning. You’re in the river but you feel like you’re in the forest- thanks to all of the trees! A Cherry tree, an Apple tree, a gorgeous white magnolia tree amongst many Maple and Evergreens. Tucked in and secluded makes this property a safe haven for white tail deer. You might wake up to a deer drinking on the riverbank- absolutely precious! we have a resident bald eagle who likes to perch up on the tops of the trees. You might even see him/her dive into the river for some lunch. Squirrels, bunnies, blue herons, humming birds- soooo many birds. Not only will you see ALL types of wildlife, you’ll get to meet our sweet goats! A mother and daughter duo -Hazel and Stella ❤️ from the skylight windows, floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors for EACH bedroom with a view! 3 full bathrooms. What more can one ask for?? I’ll say it again, this property is an absolute gem!
