Our holiday rental, “Haus Ferienglück,” which sleeps 2–4 people, is located in a prime, quiet spot in the Blindau area and serves as the perfect starting point for an eventful and relaxing holiday, whether in summer or winter. In winter, you have direct access to fantastic winter hiking trails, cross-country ski trails, a natural toboggan run, snow tubing, and ski lifts (Benz-Eck lifts). The ski bus to the Steinplatte-Winklmoosalm ski area is just a few minutes away. The picturesque Hemmersuppenalm also offers opportunities for winter hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing and is accessible by shuttle bus from the Blindau car park (just a few minutes’ walk from the holiday rental). From there, a 4-km-long toboggan run—one of the longest in Bavaria—leads back down into the valley. Even in summer, the Winklmoos and Hemmersuppenalm are ideal starting points for hikes of all lengths, as well as mountain biking and Nordic walking tours.
Within walking distance of the holiday rental, you’ll also find a playground, a horse farm, a local pub, and an upscale restaurant.
The holiday rental spans two floors and offers a spacious 67 m². It was completely renovated in 2023 and lovingly redecorated. Free Wi-Fi provides internet access throughout the entire apartment. The apartment has a separate entrance. On the ground floor, the entryway—featuring a coat closet, storage space, and a separate bathroom—leads into the living-dining room with a large kitchen. This area is furnished with a comfortable couch, a wicker armchair, a coffee table, a sideboard with a large smart TV, an extendable dining table with Chiemsee-style chairs, and a charming wood-burning stove. This is the perfect place to spend cosy hours, especially in winter. Double-glazed doors lead out to the spacious terrace with patio furniture (table, chairs, umbrella, and grill), which is perfect for relaxing and barbecuing in the summer.
The new, fully equipped kitchen features a 4-zone induction cooktop and a refrigerator with a freezer compartment. The kitchen also includes a dishwasher, an exhaust hood, and an oven at eye level. All necessary kitchen appliances are provided, such as a coffee maker, thermos, electric kettle, toaster, pots, pans, and a blender. A high chair is available upon request for younger guests.
Upstairs, there is a large bedroom with a double bed, an additional sleeper chair, and a four-door wardrobe. The room opens onto a traditional balcony with wooden chairs. A second small bedroom is furnished with a single bed featuring built-in storage and a small chest of drawers. Upon request, an additional children’s bed or travel cot can be provided here.
The thoughtfully designed bathroom with a window and toilet, also located on the upper floor, has been recently renovated. It features a large walk-in shower, a single sink, a heated towel rack, and a hair dryer. To ensure our youngest guests have everything they need, we provide a step stool and a toddler toilet seat.
The spacious basement is accessible via the entryway on the ground floor. In addition to household items, you’ll find a vacuum cleaner, a clothes drying rack, an ironing board, an iron, and a small safe for your valuables. It also offers storage space for items such as skis, skateboards, sleighs, golf, and hiking gear. You’ll also find the cushions for the garden loungers here.

Reit im Winkl: Climate Resort The designation “climate resort” is awarded to “towns whose air and climate, according to an expert assessment, possess qualities that are beneficial for relaxation and health.” Reit im Winkl was designated a climatic health resort in 1956 and has consistently met the criteria for this designation ever since through its ongoing efforts. One key factor is its high elevation, which ensures that summer heat is moderated and nights remain pleasantly cool. The town is surrounded by extensive mountain forests of the Chiemgau Alps and, in terms of its general climate, belongs to the “Bavarian Alps” climate region. The character of the weather is decisively determined by the local conditions—that is, by the influence of the mountain ranges and valleys on weather patterns. In addition to the natural conditions that ensure good air quality, we actively work to preserve the fresh mountain air by utilising natural heat and providing ample bus service.
