The accommodation itself was great, and had everything you’d need. It was very clean and in an amazing location. Of note, if you put the address into google maps it does not take you to the right location. So had a mild issue with that. We were very disappointed in the additional charges that appeared after we booked the accommodation. The German website, E-Dominik takes over communication after the booking is paid for through VRBO. They let us know of additional “mandatory” charges (deposit, utility charge, linen cleaning, towel cleaning) amounting to well over the cost of our stay. We were told that the charges were all laid out on VRBO but upon revising the listing there is a section that says “extra costs” all of which are labeled as “optional.” However, we were told they weren’t actually optional but required. The host was all but understanding about the situation. Take caution when booking the accommodation and know that additional fees, potentially amounting to more than the total cost of your stay, will be added on after you make the booking. We felt taken advantage of and fell victim to false advertising.
