The house was very open, a lot of room for my baby to run around and being right on the water was a huge bonus! Watching the otters play right outside was so nice. The major con is that the floors felt like they havent been cleaned in months. They were tacky, and after an afternoon of walking, our white socks were black. I also found large clumps of someone elses hair in the bedrooms and both showers. We would definitely stay here again, but would come with house shoes to wear at all times because it felt so gross. Also, we did find fresh mice droppings in the entertainment cabinet in the livingroom on our first night. The host had texted me asking to rate the cleanliness, and i told them about the mice droppings to which they responded with "i will make note".

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We’re so glad you enjoyed the open layout, the waterfront location, and especially getting to watch the otters play. That truly is a special part of the experience. We sincerely apologize for the cleanliness concerns you encountered. That is not the standard we aim to provide. We have forwarded your comments to our housekeeping team regarding the floors and the hair found in the bedrooms and showers, so this can be addressed and corrected immediately. We are also taking the report of mice droppings very seriously and will be following up with a pest inspection to ensure the home is properly checked and treated if needed. We truly appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention and for letting us know during your stay. We’re glad to hear you would consider staying again and will work to ensure your next visit feels completely comfortable from the moment you walk in.

Cozy and Beautiful!

This property has gorgeous lake views from nearly every room in the house. It is well appointed with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We did have a issue with some broken glass upon checking in (no fault of the property owner, a lamp had randomly fallen over and shattered) and were a bit disappointed at the poor communication about if/when the issue could be resolved. It should also be noted and really should be included in the listing that the outside area and waterfront are shared as there is another listing for a separate building on the property. We were quite shocked Saturday morning when two people strolled across the front deck and went down to the dock. We found the other listing which also lists the firepit, dock, and kayaks. It didn't cause any conflict for us but it certainly could be an issue for others in the future expecting exclusive use of these things. That said we would absolutely return here, it was SO peaceful but you aren't too far from amenities.

Tara, thank you for sharing your positive experience with us! We're so pleased you found our home well-appointed and comfortable and enjoyed the views. It's good to know you would stay here again-- we'd love to have you. That said, we're sorry about the broken glass and regret that housekeeping could not clean it up until the next day. Additionally, we're sorry that sharing the outside and waterfront areas did not match your expectations but are glad this did not detract from your visit. We hope you will allow us the chance to provide you with a truly exceptional vacation experience in the future.
