Bait and Switch

We booked and paid for this property only to be told by Catherine the local property mgr (not Holidu) a day before we departed the U.S. (and only after WE'D called her for another reason) that she was moving us to a different property, as this house had construction going on. We were given no choice in the matter and it was so last minute that we agreed to go to the new site. When we arrived we were upset to find a dirty, smelly, small studio space. Nothing remotely like this house. We called Catherine immediately and complained. She hung up on us after two minutes and never called back even after we reached out again immediately. We chose not to stay at the dirty studio and found a nearby hotel. We complained to Holidu, who partially compensated us. We did not get a full refund since we were told by Holidu that Catherine had to also agree to it. Which left us incredulous. Be very careful when you book this property.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen plumbing issues in the original property, it became unavailable, and the host acted quickly to provide alternative accommodation. The details, including pictures and access code for the new property, were shared with you in advance. While the alternative was a smaller property, it was offered as the best available option to ensure your stay could proceed with minimal disruption. The host also accommodated an early check-in at 8:00 am, well ahead of the standard time, to help make your arrival as seamless as possible. We understand that the new property did not meet your expectations and that you opted for a different arrangement. Regarding communication, we sincerely regret any misunderstanding or inconvenience caused during the process and appreciate your feedback, which helps us improve. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused, and provided compensation for your experience. We will review the processes to ensure better communication and guest satisfaction in similar situations moving forward. Team Holidu.
