Quiet holiday home for five people with a wood-burning stove and sunroom, right next to a field
Quiet holiday home for five people with a wood-burning stove and sunroom, right next to a field. The name says it all: At Haus Feldblick, you’ll be holidaying right next to the fields with a magnificent view of the Nordstrand Plain. With two floors and a spacious 95 square metres of living space, a family of five or a small group can spread out comfortably. And the best part: The house is in a very quiet yet central location. You can quickly walk to the spa centre, which features the tourist information office, restaurants, the swimming pool, and its wellness and health facilities. You’ll feel right at home in our holiday home. The kitchen is brand-new and fully equipped with a microwave, an oven with a ceramic cooktop, a dishwasher, a kettle, and more. 3, 2, 1—mine! That’s the cry in the living room when it’s time to decide who gets which spot on the three-piece sofa set. There’s plenty of room at the adjacent dining table, too. And while the little stove warms hearts and rooms, you can watch a little TV or think about what holiday memories you’d like to create next in Nordstrand. The view from the sheltered sunroom is simply breathtaking. The meadow behind the house flows directly into the field, which stretches all the way to the horizon. There’s hardly a better place to eat, chat, or play together while enjoying the view of the countryside. The bathroom is right around the corner as you walk in. So after a long hike or bike ride, you can hop right into a hot shower and then slip into the cosy beds. They’re located one floor up under the roof and are divided among three bedrooms. One of them has a double bed (180 x 200 cm), a spacious closet, and a small sitting area for two. The next one has two single beds (90 x 200 cm), and the third room features another single bed. Convenient for families: A small guest bathroom has been tucked away between the bedrooms. The sloping ceilings and warm, white wood panelling make the house just a touch cosier than it already is. To ensure our little guests feel right at home, we’re happy to provide a baby cot and a high chair. And for those unexpected spills, there’s a washing machine. DSL provides you with high-speed internet. We’ll take care of the final cleaning. The road ends at our holiday home, so there’s no through traffic here. It’s a leisurely 400 m walk to the panoramic dike and the Wadden Sea. You can park your car right under the carport. Life in Nordstrand is generally quite peaceful. The number one mode of transport is the bicycle, which can be stored in the tool shed. And if you didn’t bring one or underestimated the wind, there’s a bike rental shop—including e-bike rentals—in the village of Süden (about three km away).

Our beautiful peninsula consists almost entirely of green pastures, salt marshes, and marshlands—occasionally punctuated by the white specks of sheep or the red Frisian houses along the roadside. What seems so unassuming at first glance is home to wading birds, waterfowl, and birds of prey, which you can best observe at the Beltringharder Koog (about 14 km by bike). In Fuhlehörn and at the Holmer Siel, there are swimming spots with beach chairs available for rent. From the Strucklahnungshörn harbour, a ferry takes you to Pellworm, Sylt, or Amrum. And if you’d like to experience what a holiday on Nordstrand is like, be sure to stop by one of the restaurants or bistros. We especially recommend a visit to the Pharisäerhof, where you’ll find not only the popular hot drink but also incredibly delicious cakes. It’s about 20 km to Husum, with its colourful gabled houses, castle, and maritime museum.
