Our house is an adventure, an experience in itself. May we take you on adventure?
Tailor's Trail is definitely a very atypical gîte to stay in. The concept of rooms goes far.
Every room it's own atmosphere:
STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN ... Into the wild To get to this gite "upstairs", the trail continues... You will have to climb the steps of a staircase / ladder in order to penetrate the crack in the ceiling which refers to the crevices of the typical Mullerthal typology. Once you reach the top, you will find your own resting and watering areas with its triangular, tent-like shape and ultra-natural materials. Are you wild enough ?
OP DER GANN ... Get disconnected The space "Op der Gänn" refers to the upper spaces of the barns in the region. The eclectic layout does not refer to any traditional organisation: You will sleep in a niche surrounded by yellow wood shavings, reminding us of the summer naps of our childhood in the middle of the hay... Somewhere between the abundant indoor vegetation, you will discover your shower ... An atypical gite to allow you to disconnect and recharge your batteries. See you at the top of the barn!
THE FAMILY ... cool and the gang The 'family' gite with its double bed and bunk beds is designed for families. The space gives off an atmosphere of serenity through the use/composition of sober materials. The 'all white' area is furnished with custom-made oak furniture. The private bathroom is integrated into this minimalist composition. The two rooms, which are juxtaposed, allow us to "be together" while keeping a sense of privacy. Some intimacy between the parents' room and the children's room. Family time!
MAN'S CAVE ...This is a mans world, but it wouldn't be nothing, nothing without a woman or a girl (James Brown) After the private entrance, you will discover the living space on the ground floor with its kitchenette and its adjoining ... let's say "bath cave" adjacent. You will be able to access by a ladder to the upper level which is used as a resting place ... or others according to your convenience; ). But be careful ... "big sister is watching you" ... The materials used for this atypical space are raw concrete, solid wood and traditional limewash. This composition has both: the rustic and neat design gives off a 'manly and masculine' feeling. For real men only ... ... or for women who loves real men ; )
Tailor's Trail is definitely a very atypical gîte to stay in. The concept of rooms goes far. There are ladders to climb up, atypical bathrooms, etc. You share a large living room, kitchen, office and garden with any other guests. You are either a fan or it can't be a perfect fit. The main philosophy of Tailors Trail is the idea of meeting each other ‘imagine all the people' (John Lennon).
That's why you'll find a private modestly cosy bedroom with shower and toilet. Our 4 private rooms are all decorated with their own theme. The purpose of the composition of the room is to make you feel 'in your own bubble'. For all other activities like cooking, eating, reading, relaxing, thinking, discussing and so on... you will find very generous communal spaces. The architecture and interior design is made to find beautiful places in this generous space (kitchen, dining table, office, extra toilet, living room, garden etc). We very much want that choosing Tailor's Trail will give you an exceptional experience. Our house has nothing to do with a standard hotel. We lovingly tell the stories behind the choices we made to offer you an unique place.
As soon as you enter, a first salon located in the old shop on the street side welcomes you. Following this, you will find a great space composed of a fully equipped kitchen with a large table that invites you to share meals and a big living room with panoramic windows that "bring in" the garden. The guests of the Tailors Trail also has a private and intimate garden which develops around a large centenary tree. Tailors Trail tries to reconnect people to nature, beauty and the real thing. That’s why the tv/screen is only in the living room area of the shared space. In front of the house, the courtyard with its period paving and plantations invites you to take a nice aperitif or a cafe and to communicate with the life of the village. Imagine all the people... (John Lennon)
Shared spaces: Our gîte provides you with a fully equipped kitchen and a dining room for your ‘in-house’ breakfast and meals. Regarding shopping, it is good to know that the supermarket Proxy Delhaize is 900m away from the gîte (89a Grand-Rue). They are open Monday until Saturday from 8am until 7pm. On Sundays from 8am until 1pm. There is also a bakery 200m away: Boulangerie Pâtisserie Maryqes/ Salon de Thé 52 Grand Rue Beaufort. Open Monday until Saturday 06.00-18.00 | Sunday 07.00-12.30
