Good Base for the Northern Black Forest

This apartment was an ideal base for exploring the northern Black Forest. Situated in a quiet village, half way up the valley, the property is spacious and well equipped, comfortable and peaceful. There are good views of the surrounding hills and vineyards in several directions and a balcony on which to enjoy the sunshine and tranquility of the place. The host was friendly and helpful. There are two attractive towns in the vicinity - Baden-Baden and Rastatt - and a host of walking destinations including lakes, waterfalls and mountain tops. This is a great place for exploring the region.There were a couple of issues for us: there are two flights of steps to get to the front door which is a flog with heavy luggage. Also the WiFi was sometimes very slow in the evenings. But these are minor gripes; overall we had a great week in a nice place.
