Our Vail story began when our four children started skiing with Ski Club Vail. After years of weekend drives from Boulder, we decided to find a mountain home of our own and purchased our home at Potato Patch in 2002.
For more than 24 years, it has been the backdrop for countless ski weekends, holidays, summer adventures, and wonderful times with family and friends. Now that our children are grown and we are retired and traveling more, we have decided to share our home with guests for the very first time. We hope you will feel at home here and create special Vail memories of your own.

Why they chose this property

We chose Potato Patch because it offers something that is very special in Vail—a peaceful mountain setting with beautiful surroundings while still being just minutes from Vail Village and the mountain.
One of our favorite features is having the North Trail right outside our door, making it easy to step outside for a beautiful hike. We also love the convenience of taking the bus into the Village and leaving the car behind. In the summer, the neighborhood is especially wonderful, and Potato Patch offers amenities that make it easy to relax and enjoy the mountain lifestyle.
After more than 24 years, we still appreciate the wonderful sense of community and the combination of privacy, convenience, and access to everything we love about Vail.

What makes this property unique

This is not a typical rental—it has been our cherished family mountain home since 2002 and is being offered to guests for the first time.
With three bedrooms plus a bonus room, the home offers plenty of space for families and friends to gather while still having room to spread out and relax. Its location is one of our favorite things: you can enjoy the tranquility of the mountains, step outside to access the North Trail, or be in Vail Village and on the mountain within minutes.
For us, what makes this home truly unique is the combination of space, location, comfort, and more than two decades of family history. We have loved calling it our Vail home, and we are excited to share it with guests who will enjoy and appreciate it as much as we have.
