A beautiful walking and biking trail right next to the house invites you to go for a stroll, jog, walk, or bike ride.
Outside our house, there are lovely seating areas for guests in the garden and by our small pond. Personalised guest information folders are available, each containing extensive tips for hikes and day trips. Our location is ideal for accessing tourist highlights—Königssee and the Jennerbahn are even within a short walking distance. The Jenner Mountain Railway takes you up to the wonderful Jenner mountain, known for its panoramic views and numerous hiking trails. Other amenities within just a 10-minute walk include: 3 bus stops, a new Kneipp facility, a modern outdoor swimming pool, numerous restaurants, beer gardens, a saltwater graduation tower, a children’s playground, a butcher, a bakery, a pastry shop with a café, a post office branch, a bank branch, the public library, various doctors’ offices, the tourist information office, Protestant and Catholic churches, and even tennis courts. An electric charging station is available on-site for our guests with electric cars. For bicycles, we offer a large, lockable bike storage room. If needed, our guests can use a guest washing machine for a usage fee. It is located in a separate room on the ground floor of the building, outside the holiday apartment.
This very spacious duplex holiday apartment is located on the ground floor of the building and spans two levels (“duplex”). It accommodates up to 5 people; however, the fifth sleeping arrangement is only suitable for a child (a junior bed measuring just 1.90m in length), and the children’s bedroom is connected to the upper bedroom via a connecting door. As an 82-square-meter two-story apartment with a large wooden interior staircase, a spacious dining room, a living room with a large smart TV, a bathroom, a second bathroom, and two separate bedrooms plus an additional small children’s room, it offers plenty of space and is especially popular with families or groups of friends on holiday. Floor plan: 1st level: a large dining room and a kitchenette with a refrigerator (with freezer compartment), a 4-burner stove (glass-ceramic cooktop, oven), dishwasher, coffee maker, electric kettle, microwave, egg cooker, and access to the west-facing balcony; a bedroom with a double bed (200x180 cm); a bathroom (Showerpipe shower with shower arm and glass partition, toilet, hair dryer, makeup mirror), and a west-facing balcony with furniture (recliner, table with chairs, umbrella). On the second level (with sloped ceilings): the living room with a sofa, several recliners, a 42-inch flat-screen satellite TV, a security safe for valuables, and access to the north-facing balcony; the second bedroom with a double bed (200x180 cm) and a dressing area; a small children’s room adjacent to the second bedroom (with a wooden cot and a junior single bed, 90x190 cm); a second bathroom and another furnished balcony (north-facing). Both levels are connected by a wide and sturdy wooden staircase inside. Non-smoking apartment; bed linens, towels, tea towels, and table linens are included. Free parking directly at the house. Haus Rosenbichl is located in the attractive holiday town of Schönau am Königssee, specifically in the Königssee district, in a valley setting. Our house is, so to speak, right at the entrance to the Berchtesgaden National Park, home to the imposing Watzmann and the wonderful Königssee. In just a few minutes on foot or by car, you can reach the most famous attractions in our five valley communities: Seelände Königssee, Sankt Bartholomä, the Jennerbahn, Hintersee, Wimbachklamm, the salt mine, Kehlstein, Berchtesgaden, and many more. You can set out on many hiking trails right from the house on foot. Thanks to the convenient bus service (a public bus runs nearby every 30 minutes during the day), you can—if you’d like—simply leave your car at the house during your holiday. Or you can travel here directly by train and public transport.
The Brandner family has been renting out the holiday apartments at Haus Rosenbichl for many years and also lives in the house.
