Our family home, built in the 1960s, is located just outside Vienna in a completely peaceful setting, surrounded by a 1,000-square-meter garden that’s close to nature. It’s the perfect way to combine a visit to Vienna with relaxing days in the countryside.
The living area at your disposal consists of a large living room (42 square metres) with an adjoining kitchen, two bedrooms (14 square metres each), a half-bath, a full bath, and a spacious entryway.
The living room features a dining table for 4 to 6 people, and a sleeper sofa invites you to relax.
The living room opens directly onto the terrace (20 square metres) with a spacious seating area.
Bedroom 1 has a double bed; Bedroom 2 has a wide single bed (120 cm). The sofa in the living room (150 cm) converts into a cosy bed when needed.
In the fully equipped kitchen, an induction stove makes cooking a pleasure.
Free parking is available in front of and on the property.
The Vienna city limits are just three kilometres away, and the city centre is 20 kilometres away. You can quickly reach sights, museums, theatres, and shopping streets by car or public transport. The bus runs regularly between Breitenfurt and the Liesing rapid transit station.
There (8 km away) is also a Park and Ride facility where you can safely park your car for €4.10 per day.
Shopping options (Billa Plus, Hofer) are just a few minutes away. Right in the area, you can buy fresh fruits and vegetables at the farm stand of Biohof Breitenfurt.
The house is located in the heart of the Wienerwald Biosphere Reserve (the 130-hectare Festenberg core zone is in Breitenfurt). From our house, you can reach the forest in less than five minutes—it’s perfect for leisurely walks or long hikes. The Voralpen-Weitwanderweg 04 long-distance hiking trail passes just a few hundred metres from the house.
Cycling enthusiasts can also hit the trails on mountain bike routes or challenging road courses.
In addition to Vienna, there are a number of interesting day trips in the immediate vicinity, such as the wine tavern village of Perchtoldsdorf with its famous fortified church, Heiligenkreuz Abbey, or the Baroque churches along the Via Sacra, the pilgrimage route to Maria Zell. The spa towns of Baden and Bad Vöslau are also easily accessible.
