Large vacation home with a view of unspoiled nature at the gateway to the Bavarian Forest

Our property is located in the Bavarian Forest, the largest contiguous forest area in all of Europe. Right in Spiegelau, at the gateway to the “Bavarian Forest” National Park, you’ll find a large wildlife enclosure and one of the largest treetop trails—both absolute must-sees during your holiday in the Bavarian Forest. Our house is situated on the outskirts of Spiegelau, surrounded by nature. It is approximately 2.6 km from shopping areas and the main train station. After several years of careful renovation, we are pleased to once again offer the property as a self-catering house for groups. Our seasonal rental period runs from April through early November. The Bavarian Forest National Park offers numerous, well-marked hiking and biking trails, suitable for both families and ambitious hikers and cyclists. The nearby low mountain ranges—such as Lusen, Rachel, Drossel, and Falkenstein—invite mountaineers to embark on breathtaking summit hikes. You’ll also find tennis courts, golf courses, a natural outdoor swimming pool, and a horseback riding stable nearby that offers guided rides through the great outdoors. Our property is a former family-run guesthouse that offers single rooms for rent. Over the years, it has been repeatedly restored, renovated, and beautified. Some of the original 15 x 15 bathroom tiles remain, as do two faucets in the shower stall for regulating the water temperature. If you can handle that, you should definitely keep reading. Suitable for hiking groups, clubs, or family reunions, our guesthouse offers 10 double rooms for up to 21 people. All rooms have a private bathroom with a shower and toilet and are located on the ground floor of the house. Seven of the rooms also feature a balcony with a view of the valley. For larger groups, there are four additional rooms in the attic, bringing the total capacity to 29 people. These rooms also have their own shower and toilet. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. There is also a large refrigerator on each living floor. The self-catering kitchen is located in the annex right next to the guesthouse. It is equipped with an electric stove, two coffee makers, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster, a refrigerator and freezer, as well as an additional refrigerated counter for drinks. Adjacent to the kitchen is a large common room. We also offer a bowling alley, a ping-pong table, a foosball table, a large TV, a dartboard, and various family games. Our spacious sun terrace, with a view of the unspoiled natural landscape, invites you to relax and features seating as well as two large umbrellas. Below the guesthouse, there is also a large lawn with lounge chairs and a small children’s playground. For social barbecue evenings, we also provide a charcoal or gas grill. Check-in is available from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Check-out is by 12:00 PM. Other check-in and check-out times are possible upon request. Please contact us in advance to make arrangements. Keys will be handed over in person on-site or via a key box. You will receive the code for the key box well in advance of your arrival. The final prices are based on one person in a double room. For groups of more than 16 people, there is a charge of EUR 35.00 per night per person. Additionally, a one-time final cleaning fee of EUR 25.00 and a linen package of EUR 15.00 per person will be charged. A cot can be provided free of charge upon request. Children up to 3 years old who sleep in their parents’ bed stay free of charge. Pets are not allowed. A one-time security deposit of EUR 300.00 is required. The tourist tax of EUR 2.50 per person per day will be charged separately on-site. The on-site bowling alley can be used for a fee of EUR 10.00 per lane per hour. A deposit of 25% of the total price is due upon booking. The remaining balance is due no later than 4 weeks before arrival.
