With its high ceilings and open kitchen, the “Lille Wackerama” holiday home is a truly cosy and welcoming place for up to 4 people, filled with natural light and everything you need for a dream holiday. The Danish-style house sits on a garden lot in the front row and offers a panoramic view of the sea. Of course, your dog is also welcome to join you.
The well-maintained sandy beach and the famous surfing and kiteboarding spot are only about 70 metres away. With its very wide, shallow shoreline, the beach offers safe swimming fun even for younger children. Additional kilometres of fine-sand natural beaches—which remain only moderately crowded even in summer—are within easy cycling distance on the other side of the Birk River.
The modern furnishings and the light, wood-paneled walls and sloped ceilings give the house a cosy and friendly atmosphere. On the spacious, covered wooden deck, you’ll find a table and chairs as well as a charcoal grill. From here, you’ll enjoy a beautiful view of Geltinger Bay and breathtaking sunsets. On cooler evenings, you can make yourself comfortable in the living room in front of the fireplace with a good book or in front of the flat-screen TV. Of course, our house also features free high-speed Wi-Fi and a charging port for electric cars.
From the living room, dining table, and bedroom, floor-to-ceiling windows offer a magnificent view of the Baltic Sea. The open-concept kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave oven, and everything you need.
After a day in the fresh air, treat yourself to a sauna session. From the living room, you have access to the terrace overlooking the beach. Here, you can enjoy the view while sunbathing or spend a cosy evening barbecuing with friends and family. The master bedroom offers excellent sleeping comfort with a spacious 1.60-meter-wide box-spring double bed. The smaller bedroom is furnished with two high-quality beds (200 cm x 80 cm) equipped with mattress toppers.
In just a few minutes on foot, you can reach the magnificent, unspoiled Geltinger Birk nature and bird sanctuary, home to a diverse array of flora and fauna. Explore this paradise for waterfowl, wild horses, and Highland cattle along various walking trails. Guided nature tours, NABU birdwatching tours, lectures, and wild horse tours are also offered here regularly.
Likewise, the nearly limitless water sports opportunities are just a stone’s throw away: For those who prefer more active pursuits, the virtually “in-house” surf school—just 100 metres away—offers courses in windsurfing, kitesurfing, sailing, and stand-up paddleboarding, as well as equipment rentals.
Geltinger Bay also offers a beautiful sailing area for all sailing enthusiasts! The Insel marina, with its long pier, is right on your doorstep. Use the marina, with its guest berths, as a starting point for unforgettable sailing trips.
Of interest to anglers: the area, with its numerous shoals, is known for its abundance of cod, flatfish, and sea trout. Herring and garfish in the spring and mackerel in the summer and fall always add variety.
For horse enthusiasts, there’s the opportunity to go horseback riding on the beach or take a carriage ride.
