The villa, situated at an altitude of 1000 metres, lies in a beautiful landscape steeped in history. The view stretches from Graz to the Koralm mountain range – weather permitting, of course. Here, an illegitimate daughter of the Austro-Hungarian Emperor Franz Joseph lived with her husband, the composer Alban Berg. Our apartments offer a combination of modern comforts with fin-de-siècle elegance. Trahütten was a spa town at the beginning of the 20th century. By car, you can reach Deutschlandsberg with all its shopping facilities in 7 to 10 minutes. Regio Mobil taxis are also available, which must be booked in advance (6 euros per journey). From Deutschlandsberg, you can take the train directly to Graz – and from January 2026, even directly to Vienna. Children are always amazed because we have so many more Michelin stars than in the city… Anyone who enjoys good food will find themselves in particularly good hands in our region. In Trahütten itself, there's "tra Hüttn" by Heimo Smolana – but only by reservation. In the surrounding area, you'll find everything your heart desires in Styria, from Theresas to Stegweber, Kollar, Koralpenblick, and countless mountain huts and wine taverns. A gastronomic paradise. Culturally, the neighbouring municipality of Wies has the cultural initiative "Kürbis" (Pumpkin), and every missed performance there is a loss. You can laugh to your heart's content on some occasions and go home thoughtful on others; every visit is a gain.
