About this property
Sunnertorpa recreation + nature for the whole family
A stunningly beautiful and family-friendly vacation home near Annerstad, about 28 km southwest of Ljungby. The house was renovated and completely refurnished in early 2019. With 135 m² of living space, there’s plenty of room for 8 people + 1 toddler in 4 bedrooms. The house is situated on a 7,800 m² natural property; the area around the house is fenced in, as dogs are also welcome. Lake Mäen is only 800 m away as the crow flies. Fishing, swimming (sandy beach), and boat rentals are all available on-site. The Accommodation Layout: There are a total of 4 bedrooms, each with a double bed, and one bedroom has an additional crib. Three bedrooms are on the first floor, and the fourth is on the upper floor. All bedrooms have closets or dressers. The brand-new mattresses are covered with protective covers, which are washed after every stay. The spacious and fully equipped kitchen is centrally located in the house. A large dining table offers plenty of space for 8 people to enjoy delicious meals or simply spend time together. The kitchen is, of course, equipped with all necessary dishes, plates, cups, and more. An induction cooktop, range hood, oven, coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, hand mixer, and various small kitchen gadgets are all provided. The kitchen leads to two living rooms as well as the rear entrance. The main living room, featuring a TV (German channels, DVD player), two large leather sofas, and a beautiful fireplace (firewood included), is perfect for enjoying pleasant evenings. The smaller living room, with a cozy armchair and a comfortable couch, is ideal as a reading room or play area for the little ones if the weather happens to be less than ideal. A radio/CD player is also available here. From here, you can also access the upper floor, where one of the bedrooms is located, as well as an additional guest restroom with a sink. The bathroom is also modern and practically furnished. In addition to a toilet, sink, and mirror cabinet, there is also a spacious shower. A hair dryer is, of course, provided. In the basement, next to the boiler room (which features a brand-new air-to-water heat pump), you’ll find the utility room with a washer and dryer, a clothes rack, and a large table. There’s also a small storage closet with a vacuum cleaner and cleaning supplies, just in case something goes wrong.
The house has two front doors (front and back), both of which can, of course, be used. In Sweden, for whatever reason, people usually use the back entrance. So we’ve adapted accordingly, and the main entrance is located at the back. The garden directly surrounding the house (approx. 600 m²) is fenced in. There are four small gates here that allow you to leave the immediate area and explore the rest of the property. The total size of the property is 7,800 m², a natural plot with a few pine trees and, of course, birch trees. There is also a double garage, which houses all the garden tools and furniture, bicycles, and the storage unit for the solar power system. The area in front of and next to the garage offers ample space for four cars. Of course, a playhouse for our younger guests is also a must. Garden furniture (table and chairs) for 8 people is also stored in the garage and is available for everyone’s use. A lounge chair for sunbathers, a large grill, and a fire pit are also located there. In addition, we have 2 bicycles there (1 men’s MTB, 1 women’s touring bike) that you can use to explore the surrounding area.
At the main entrance on the back of the house, we built a wooden deck of approximately 30 square meters in the spring of 2024. Since it’s partially covered, you can sit outside and enjoy the peace and quiet even in bad weather. Guest Access All areas inside the house and on the property are accessible. The only exception is a room on the upper floor where private items are stored, such as work clothes, etc. Additional Important Information You must bring your own bed linens and towels. Unfortunately, we cannot provide these on-site, as we do not live in Sweden ourselves. The protective covers on the mattresses are changed and washed by our “fairy godmother” after every stay.
During the winter months from November through March, electricity consumption must be billed separately. Of course, this applies only to electricity purchased from the grid. Electricity generated by the solar panel system is included in the price.
