Terrible - booking was cancelled at point of arrival for check in. No explanation given.

A couple of days ahead of arrival I received an email - looking forward to meeting you etc, so lead me to believe everything was as it should be.On arrival to the hotel there are key boxes to access your key to your room. Since I had not received an access code, I phoned the number given. The host said that my booking had been cancelled and I had been sent an email. That was kit the case - I had no email otherwise I would not have turned up. Also, I had paid for the room ahead of my stay so I would have expected a refund.While in the phone, I received a cancellation alert - so it was cancelled then.There was an apology but that was not enough - I had nowhere to stay for 2 nights and had no refund either. A refund has since arrived but the hotel I had to book, was further away from where i needed to be and cost more than the original booking. I could never recommend this hotel given the experience I had.
