Surrounded by forests, lakes, meadows and traditional red Swedish houses, this lovingly renovated holiday home in Fågelfors offers the perfect combination of nature, relaxation and authentic Swedish charm. The owners, Barbara and Matthias, fulfilled their dream of owning a Swedish cottage and are delighted to share this special place with their guests.

The peaceful location on the edge of Fågelfors makes Sommerlycka an ideal base for exploring Småland. Whether you enjoy hiking, swimming, fishing or discovering Sweden's most popular attractions, everything is within easy reach.

The house offers approximately 76 square metres of living space and accommodates up to four guests. It features one bedroom with a double bed and a comfortable sofa bed in the living room for two additional guests.

The bright living area with its beautiful wooden floors creates a cosy atmosphere. WiFi and a Smart TV provide additional comfort during your stay.

The fully equipped kitchen includes a ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, toaster, kettle and everything needed for self-catering holidays.

The bathroom features a shower and washing machine. A modern air-source heat pump and electric heating ensure a comfortable indoor climate.

Outside, guests can enjoy a spacious 1,220-square-metre garden. The terrace with outdoor furniture and charcoal grill is perfect for relaxing summer evenings surrounded by nature.

A charming red garden cottage with its own small terrace adds even more Swedish character to the property.

The surrounding area offers countless opportunities for outdoor activities and excursions. A fishing lake is only 300 metres away, while the swimming lake Övresjön is easily reached by car or bicycle.

Popular attractions include More Kastell Gorge, the Ryningen birdwatching area, Målilla Moose Park and Astrid Lindgren's World in Vimmerby. Visitors can also explore Katthult, the original filming location of Emil of Lönneberga.

Further day trips can take you to Oskarshamn and its archipelago, Kalmar Castle, Öland, the Kingdom of Crystal around Kosta, or the national parks Norra Kvill, Åsnen and Store Mosse.

Holiday Home Sommerlycka is a non-smoking property. One dog is welcome for an additional fee. Final cleaning is included. Bed linen and towels can be booked as an optional package. A security deposit of €150 is required.
