A warm welcome to our holiday home, Zur Alten Linde:
The charm of this old, cosy farmhouse—with its exposed fieldstone walls and historic beams—invites you to slow down and enjoy your holiday, as does the adjacent barn, which has been renovated with great attention to detail.
In the adjoining garden, with its enchanting distant views, a garden house featuring a covered outdoor lounge and a sun deck awaits our guests.
Things to know about the surrounding area:
The small, idyllic village of Schmißberg is located about 3 km northeast of the county seat of Birkenfeld, where you’ll find numerous shopping options and restaurants. The hiking trail “In the Land of the Kite, Stork, and Friends” begins in Schmißberg. Many scenic loop trails are also easily accessible by car from here in about 10–20 minutes.



Farmhouse:

The farmhouse: It offers approximately 160 square metres of living space. Inside the house, there are 3 bedrooms with 1.80-meter-wide double beds and one bedroom with a 1.40-meter-wide bed, a large living room, a spacious kitchen-diner with a tiled stove, a large bathroom with a shower, and a guest bathroom. In the adjoining garden, with its enchanting distant views, a garden shed with a covered outdoor lounge and a sun deck awaits our guests.



On-site costs: Prices include utilities (heating, water, electricity, Wi-Fi), bed linens, towels, firewood, and final cleaning! (The house must be left swept clean, and trash must be disposed of in the designated trash tins and bags. The landlord will inspect the property on the day of departure.) The security deposit is 100 euros and must be paid along with the down payment. A down payment of 20% of the total price is due upon signing the contract. The balance must be transferred 14 days before arrival. Keys are provided via a key box. You will receive the code for the key box well in advance of your arrival. A baby cot can be provided free of charge upon request. Pets are allowed free of charge.



Check-in is from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. and checkout is from 12:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
