Description:

In the heart of the Vulkaneifel, in Gerolstein, you’ll find our lovingly and recently renovated holiday rental. Surrounded by nature and numerous hiking trails, it offers the ideal starting point for discovering the beauty of the Eifel and its many sights.

The holiday rental is located above the “city of fountains,” Gerolstein, in an excellent location. From the holiday rental, you’ll enjoy a fantastic view of the dolomite cliffs. These cliffs are the remains of a sea that covered the Gerolstein region 380 million years ago.

The ninth stage of the Eifelsteig ends in Gerolstein after hiking from Hillesheim. From our holiday rental, it’s particularly convenient to continue on to the tenth stage of the Eifelsteig from Gerolstein to Daun. Our lodging is designed in a minimalist style and, together with the sauna, offers the ideal opportunity to recharge your batteries.

The Löwenburg castle ruins are within walking distance. The castle was destroyed in 1691. An 11-high shield wall still serves as a reminder of the medieval castle today. The castle ruins are open year-round and offer a magnificent view over Gerolstein.

Other highlights include the Pelmer Kasselburg. There you’ll find a very well-preserved castle with birds of prey and wolves. At the Daun Wildlife and Adventure Park, you can take an 8-kilometer safari tour in your own car. A large playground for children and a 6-hectare monkey enclosure are also part of the park.

You’ll find more recommendations in our digital guidebook.
