A holiday along the cliff trail between Gudhjem and Helligdommen is a truly special experience
And we offer a practically furnished holiday apartment with a view of the Baltic Sea, just a stone's throw away.
From the living room window and the seaside terrace, you’ll enjoy a unique view of the Baltic Sea and the “pea islands” of Christiansø and Frederikssø. Sailing ships pass by, creating a colourful spectacle.
The holiday rental is practically furnished and features a living area, a dining area, and a kitchenette. It also features a private bathroom with a shower and toilet, a bedroom with two single beds, and a separate bedroom with a single bed (90/200).
Enjoy breakfast on your own terrace and start the day with a magnificent view of the sea.
Discover Bornholm’s natural beauty
In the spring, the hiking trails along the coast are transformed into a sea of wild garlic and white anemones. If you look closely, you might also spot the rare blue anemones and many other wild plants and flowers.
Take a hike to Gudhjem and ride the “Thor”—Bornholm’s oldest tourist boat—to the Helligdom Cliffs. The walk back offers a unique nature experience with views of the Baltic Sea.
The area around Hammershus, Northern Europe’s largest castle ruin, is perfect for wonderful hikes.
When the heath is in bloom, Paradiesbakkerne shines with a special radiance. Mushroom enthusiasts and blueberry lovers will find plenty to enjoy here.
You can book your trip to Bornholm directly with the ferry company Bornholmslinjen. We recommend arriving on a Thursday, as ferry fares are often cheaper than on weekends.
Since 1990 and 2000, respectively, we—your German hosts, Eduard Dahlmann and his daughter Geraldine (always on site)— have been operating the Alte Strandvogtei—with a total of seven holiday apartments—as well as “Dines lille maritime Café” on Bornholm.
Of particular note is the Bornholm Fairy Tale Festival (July & August), which takes place at Dines Lille Maritime Café and brings stories from around the world to life. Talented storytellers will whisk you away into the magical world of fairy tales on Mondays and Wednesdays starting at 6:30 p.m. These events are primarily aimed at adults and offer a special cultural experience.
Your four-legged friend is also welcome, so you can enjoy the beauty of Bornholm together.
