About this property

Holiday Home 'Family' with Shared Terrace and Wi-Fi

Welcome to our family-friendly vacation home in the heart of the volcanic Eastern Eifel. The former farmhouse, built more than 100 years ago in basalt typical of the region, is located in Thür, centrally situated between the surrounding towns of Koblenz, Mayen, Andernach and Mendig. It offers a place of tranquillity and an ideal starting point for exploring the varied Rhine-Eifel-Moselle region.



Your accommodation

The modern vacation home offers space for up to four adults and three children in four bedrooms. There is a double bed, a pull-out sofa bed, a bunk bed and a crib. A travel cot is also available if required.

The fully equipped modern kitchen has a stove, fridge and oven, as well as a coffee machine, toaster and kettle.

The bright bathroom has a shower and a bathtub.

Games, books, cable TV and W-LAN provide entertainment even in bad weather.



Directions & contact

You can reach your vacation home via the A61 (exit Mendig or Kruft) and A48 (exit Mayen) highways. You will find your own parking space on site.

There is also a stop on the Lahn-Eifel-Bahn in Thür (RB 23 Limburg - Koblenz - Andernach - Mayen and RB 38 Andernach - Mayen - Kaisersesch). In Andernach and Koblenz there are connections to the long-distance Deutsche Bahn services. A bus stop in the neighborhood connects you to regional public transport.

Leider hat diese wunderbare Ferienwohnung einen dicken Makel.Innen ist wirklich alles so, wie auf den Bildern ersichtlich. Es ist ein top renoviertes altes Bauernhaus, freundlich und modern eingerichtet. Zudem ist es auch noch geräumig und sehr gut gepflegt.Nun zum Problem: Auf den Bildern (und auf Google Maps) ist zwar ersichtlich, dass das Haus an einer Straße liegt, aber wir haben nicht bedacht, wie nahe diese Straße wirklich ist und wie stark befahren sie werktags ist.Ab früh um 6 rollt der Verkehr direkt am Fenster vorbei. Es gibt ja nicht mal einen Gehsteig an der Stelle. Und selbst wenn sich die Fahrer doch an Tempo 30 halten (was oft auch nicht der Fall ist), dann ist das immer noch sehr laut. Es fahren im Sommer ja auch viele Traktoren und immer wieder Transporter und Kleinlaster. Insbesondere da man ja im Sommer gerne nachts das Fenster auf hat, führt das selbst mit Ohrenstöpseln zu einem unruhigen Schlaf.Und abends ist es im Ess- und Wohnzimmer auch nicht so gemütlich, wie es sein könnte, da ebenfalls bis nach 11 Uhr dicke Traktoren, laute Mopeds und sonstiges Gefährt vorbeidonnern. Nachts ist Tempo 30 auch scheinbar aufgehoben. Bei geöffnetem Fenster darf man auch aktiv mit austesten, welche Fahrzeuge noch keine strengen Abgasnormen einhalten müssen.Unabhängig davon würden etwas bessere Beschattungsmöglichkeiten nicht schaden, z.B. innen angebrachte Rollos. Die Fensterläden sind leider auch nur dekorativ, wäre prima, wenn die tatsächlich benutzbar wären.
