The Eifel Chalet Niederehe

Our Eifel chalet was built in 2017 as a log cabin and was used as a residence until the end of 2024. This traditional, sustainable construction method is characterised by its natural appearance and, thanks to the use of wood, provides a pleasant living environment. Perfect for a cosy stay in the Vulkaneifel!
By definition, a chalet is a mountain or alpine hut. But don’t worry—our Eifel chalet is a cosy accommodation for up to 4 people, offering plenty of comfort for a relaxing stay with us.

Our holiday home has a living area of 91 m² and is divided into two bedrooms, a bathroom, an utility room, a hallway, and a large living/dining room with a fully equipped kitchen. Adjacent to the large covered terrace is a lockable storage room for items such as bicycles. A portion of the garden is available for guests’ use, and a large parking space is available directly at the holiday home on the property.

The EifelChalet has 2 bedrooms: The larger “Cherry Blossom” bedroom with a double bed (180 cm x 200 cm) and no TV, and the smaller “Cosy” bedroom with a double bed (180 cm x 190 cm) and a TV.

4-Bedroom EifelChalet Holiday Home, 2 Bedrooms:

Description of the holiday home:
The spacious living/dining area of the home features a large dining table with 6 chairs and a comfortable, cosy couch with an armchair. Amenities also include a large swivel-mounted satellite TV, a small stereo system, and a cosy wood-burning stove. For your stay, we provide a selection of games, CDs, magazines, and books—and even a pair of binoculars.
Through a large double-door patio door, you can step out onto the covered panoramic terrace with access to the garden. Enjoy the magnificent view of the nature reserve right from breakfast! From the terrace, you can access a lockable outdoor storage room for items such as your bicycles.
The kitchen is equipped with high-end appliances and a wide range of kitchenware. This includes a stove with an oven and range hood, a dishwasher, and a large refrigerator (without a freezer compartment). You’ll also find a filter coffee maker, a Senseo pod machine, a kettle, a toaster, a waffle maker, a hand mixer, an immersion blender, a food processor, a bread slicer, an electric fondue set, and an electric grill in the kitchen. 
The EifelChalet has 2 separate bedrooms: The larger “Cherry Blossom” bedroom with a double bed (180 cm x 200 cm) and no TV, and the smaller “Cosy” bedroom with a double bed (180 cm x 190 cm) and a TV.

The bathroom features a walk-in shower with an additional rain showerhead, grab bars, and a fold-down seat in the shower, as well as a toilet and urinal, a sink, a radio, and an illuminated mirror cabinet. A makeup mirror and a hair dryer are also available.
In a separate utility room, you’ll find a washing machine, laundry basket, clothes pegs, a drying rack, an ironing board, and an iron. A first-aid kit, fire blanket, and fire extinguisher are clearly visible here, as are a vacuum cleaner, some laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, and cleaning utensils.
The house is built at ground level and is virtually barrier-free. There is only one low step at the entrance to the house, which should not pose a problem even for wheelchair users. There is also one step leading from the patio to the garden. The garden is accessible without barriers from the car park.
You can park directly next to the chalet on the property. There is also enough space on the property for a caravan or RV. The parking area is unpaved.



On-site costs: Note regarding the guest tax: To promote regional tourism, overnight guests staying at lodging facilities in the Gerolstein municipal association have been required to pay a guest tax (local tax) of 0.75 euros per person per night since 01.01.2024. Children aged 0–5 and business and educational travellers are exempt from this tax. The bylaw can be viewed at: www.gerolstein.de/gaestebeitrag Information, Amenities, and Our Services: Maximum occupancy of the chalet is 4 people (2 bedrooms, each with a double bed) All prices include the costs for electricity, central heating, water, towels, bed linens, parking, Wi-Fi, as well as trash removal and final cleaning. Check-in is contactless via a key safe. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed. Large Cherry Blossom Bedroom: The double bed is 180 cm wide and 200 cm long. Small Cosy Bedroom: Due to the layout of the room, the 180 cm wide double bed is slightly shorter (190 cm long) than usual, and you’ll need to climb into bed through the open foot of the bed. Comfortable pocket-spring mattresses, duvets, and pillows with high-quality synthetic fibre filling (down-free and hypoallergenic). The beds are made upon your arrival. Fresh linens are gladly provided once a week free of charge upon request. Towels (shower towel, hand towel, and flannel as a set per person) are changed twice a week, depending on the length of your stay. Covered patio with seating area, sunshade/privacy screen, and lighting. Garden area with a lounge chair, patio furniture, and a parasol. Lockable outdoor storage shed with storage space and a small selection of tools for bicycles. Free parking directly at the chalet on the property (there is also enough space on the property for a caravan or RV. The parking area is unpaved) Two charging stations for electric vehicles are located in town, approx. 300–400 m from the chalet. Floor heating; cosy wood-burning stove; high chair available upon request; detailed information booklet in the chalet with culinary tips, A-to-Z information, and extensive suggestions for leisure activities and excursions; user manuals, informational brochures, and travel guides about the Eifel region; Cancellation fees: The guest does not have a right to cancel free of charge. In the event of cancellation, the guest is obligated to pay a portion of the agreed-upon price as compensation. The amount of compensation is determined according to the following schedule: Cancellation • Within 3 days of booking: free cancellation • 21 to 8 days before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price • 7 to 3 days before the start of the rental period: 80% of the rental price • No-show: 90% of the rental price. Cancellations must also be made in writing.



Check-in is possible from 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., and check-out is from 12:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
