Our cozy and quiet vacation rental, designed in a rustic country house style with its own garden, invites you to enjoy a relaxing and restful vacation.
Located right on the outskirts of Schmalkalden in a quiet residential area, you can unwind—for example, in the Hollywood swing in the partial shade of a cherry tree.
The apartment accommodates up to 4 people: There is a wide double bed in the bedroom and a pull-out sofa bed with a 140 cm sleeping surface in the living room.
High-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the apartment at no charge.
The spacious bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower, a bathtub, and a washer-dryer.
In the kitchen, you’ll find everything you need to prepare a delicious meal or brew a tasty cup of coffee. You can comfortably wind down the day by grilling your own Thuringian sausages on the terrace in the garden—while enjoying the beautiful view.
When the weather is nice, a steel-walled pool with a diameter of 3.6 m and a water depth of about 1 m is available for you to cool off and for the kids to splash around.

The vacation rental’s location offers ideal conditions for hikes around Schmalkalden and, of course, through the beautiful Thuringian Forest—the green heart of Germany—with its famous Rennsteig trail.
Whether on foot or by bike in good weather, or on skis or a sled in winter—you’ll find the right activities here for every season.
The nearby Rhön region also offers excellent opportunities for day trips, with its fascinating raised bogs and great hiking trails featuring unparalleled views.
You can reach downtown Schmalkalden, with its historic medieval town center, in 5 minutes by car or in about 20 minutes on foot. Particularly worth seeing are Wilhelmsburg Castle with its stunning view over the Old Town, the Altmarkt with the town church “St. George” and City Hall, as well as the many charming half-timbered houses.
Day trips to the surrounding area are always worthwhile—for example, to the beautiful city of Eisenach with its famous Wartburg Castle and Bach House; to Oberhof, a well-known winter sports resort with a ski arena and biathlon stadium; or to the state capital, Erfurt, to see the cathedral and the Krämerbrücke.
