From the terrace, which is over 40 m² (with a table, chairs, and a folding lounge chair), you have a beautiful panoramic view of meadows and fields. The picturesque Grabow Bay on the Baltic Sea is visible from the house. On clear days, you can see the island of Hiddensee.

Boat access is available at the harbour (slipway), and storage space is provided on the property. Hiking and biking trails (suitable for inline skaters) are well-developed and run along the Baltic Sea bay (European Circular Hiking Trail). Horseback riding and bike rentals are available at the youth hostel near Glöwitz (2 km); affordable horseback riding options are available in Barth-Planitz, which has a new indoor riding arena.

Shopping options are available right in Barth, with numerous supermarkets (on the bypass).

There is a DLRG-supervised swimming area in Glöwitz.
Water sports equipment can be rented at the local water sports centre (which features a surf, kite, and sailing school).

From the pier at the harbour, you can access the shallow water (great surfing and kitesurfing conditions!).

The fine-sand beaches of Zingst are about 20 minutes away. There you’ll also find a wide range of recreational activities (e.g., go-kart rentals, the Zingst narrow-gauge railway, fishing trips, boat trips to Hiddensee Island, Bodden tours, horse-drawn carriage rides, ...).

In Stralsund (30 km), the Hanse Dom water park and the Maritime Museum are highly recommended.
