This historic, detached holiday home is located in Mitterauerbach, a small village in the municipality of Neunburg vorm Wald in the Upper Palatinate Lake District. The house was built around 1850 by the church as a parsonage for the sacristan. In its early years, it also served as a schoolhouse. After standing vacant for 40 years, it was purchased by the landlord in 2014 and underwent extensive and meticulous renovation from 2018 to 2020. The result is a little gem with bright rooms, exposed beam ceilings, vaulted ceilings, and a historic tiled stove. The house includes a small garden with a terrace. Its location in the Upper Palatinate Forest invites you to go hiking and biking right from your front door. Visit the nearby lakes for swimming, water skiing, sailing, surfing, and diving. The world’s largest walk-in wooden observation sphere at Steinberger Lake offers a wonderful view of the surrounding landscape. There’s also a golf course just 4 km away. There are plenty of great day trips in the area: Neunburg vorm Wald, Schwandorf with its rock cellars, Regensburg, Amberg, and Weiden. The Bavarian Forest is also not far away. This lovingly furnished holiday home offers comfortable accommodation for up to four people and combines cosiness with modern amenities. On the ground floor, you’ll be greeted by an inviting entryway that leads into the cosy living room with satellite TV and the traditional living room with a tiled stove—perfect for relaxing evenings. The spacious kitchen-dining area leaves nothing to be desired: equipped with a kettle, coffee maker, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer compartment, microwave, egg cooker, two induction cooktops, and a classic wood-burning stove, it invites you to cook and enjoy meals together. An utility room with a washing machine and a separate bathroom round out the layout on the ground floor. Upstairs, you’ll find two lovingly designed bedrooms—one with a comfortable double bed, the other with a practical double trundle bed. The spacious bathroom features a toilet, sink, shower, bathtub, and a hair dryer. A bright hallway connects the rooms and creates a pleasant atmosphere. A 20% deposit is charged upon booking. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks before arrival via bank transfer. Check-in is available from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Check-out is between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Other check-in and check-out times are possible upon request. Please contact us in a timely manner to make arrangements if necessary. Keys will be handed over in person on site. A cot can be provided free of charge upon request. Pets are not allowed.
