About this property
Apartment with garden and lake view from the veranda. Family friendly!
Holiday rental for 4 people in Fürstenwerder. 2 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom.
IMPORTANT: Please bring your own bed linens and towels. Pillows and blankets are provided; you only need to bring bed linens. Sheet size: 160 x 200. Upon request, we can also provide a linen package; the cost of twenty euros per person would then need to be paid separately in advance.
LOCATION OF THE VACATION RENTAL The house is located above the lake, next to the medieval city wall. From the garden, you have a beautiful view of the lake. It’s only a 2-minute walk to the swimming area, and there’s plenty to explore in the surrounding area. The holiday rental is located on the lower floor of the two-story house at Karl-Marx-Str. 35. The house was built in the early 1930s as a residential and commercial building for a local family of potters and stove fitters. For several years now, the lower apartment has been available as a holiday rental. On the ground floor above it is another apartment, which is also occupied during the summer. See the notes below for more information.
The holiday rental consists of two spacious and cosy bedrooms. They are connected by a double door, but each room also has a separate entrance. The bedrooms (each with a double bed measuring 160x200) face the quiet Karl-Marx-Straße; from the kitchen window, you can see the lake across the courtyard. The historic hardwood floors in the rooms are made of high-quality Canadian pitch pine. The furniture and decorative details—some of which are original—evoke the history of the family of craftsmen.
The kitchen, featuring a tile floor preserved from the 1930s, is equipped with everything you need for your holiday.
The apartment also features satellite TV, a DVD player, Wi-Fi, bicycles, and children’s toys (e.g., a wooden train set, children’s books, classic games, etc.)
Guests are, of course, welcome to use the courtyard and the large garden. The garden offers a place for barbecuing and a small veranda right next to the medieval city wall. From there, you have an unforgettable view of the lake...
ACCESS FOR GUESTS The courtyard and garden are available for our guests to use. This also includes access to the garden through the small workshop. Out of respect for privacy, we ask that you do not enter any other rooms. Additional Important Information The price includes electricity, water, and heating.
The upper part of the house is also used regularly in the summer. Due to the building’s construction (wooden beam ceiling), you’ll hear normal sounds of movement from upstairs downstairs—footsteps, for example. And you might run into each other in the courtyard, garden, or hallway. Since we grew up there, we’re naturally very familiar with the sounds of the house and personally don’t find them disturbing. But of course, everyone has a different tolerance for quiet and noise. So if you’re looking for “absolute quiet” and would describe yourself as sensitive to noise, please feel free to contact us with any questions before booking.
Otherwise, it’s a real pleasure to listen to the birds and the sounds of nature. That’s a highlight no matter the season...
And one more note for guests with short stays: The cleaning fee applies even for stays of just one or two nights. As a result, the average price per night for short stays is higher than for longer bookings.

Torsten was a very accommodating and communicative host, the flat itself is lovely with a very nice garden with a great view of the lake which is less than five minutes' walk away. There's a small bakery just two doors down and a very nice cafe nearby, though I would recommend to be prepared for the grocery store nearby to be closed and bring a few meals' worth of food just in case. As could be expected next to a lake, there were quite a few mosquitoes in the room but they posed surprisingly no issue, especially for my partner who is usually very susceptible to bites.I would happily recommend this flat to anyone, it brought us a lot of joy and relaxation over our long weekend!
