Half-timbered house from the 19th century – peace, nature and time together
Set high above the village with wide views over Bockswiese and the Bocksberg, this is a place of true tranquility: no traffic noise, only birdsong and nature. An ideal setting to slow down, breathe deeply and spend time together.
The accommodation
This historic half-timbered house was carefully restored in 2023 and furnished to a high standard. New bathrooms, oak parquet flooring and a harmonious blend of historic character and modern comfort define the house. It is located in the centre of Bockswiese, surrounded by long-established local families.
With 180 m² of living space, the house offers plenty of room for shared moments as well as enough space for privacy. Guests enjoy generous living areas, six bedrooms, a walk-in wardrobe, four bathrooms – two of them with showers – and a fully equipped kitchen. Even with full occupancy, mornings remain relaxed and stress-free.
Ideal for families and groups of friends
The house is perfectly suited for larger family gatherings or nature getaways with friends.
Depending on the season, numerous activities start right outside the door. In spring and summer, hiking trails and mountain bike routes invite exploration. Autumn is ideal for collecting mushrooms and berries, while winter offers skiing, sledging and tobogganing. After active days, guests return pleasantly tired and deeply relaxed.
Work & relaxation
If you feel like taking a break from nature, fast Wi-Fi is available throughout the house. For quiet work or creative moments, an original 1970s artist’s desk is also provided.
Location & surroundings
The house is located directly on the Liebesbank trail, surrounded by forest – simply step outside and start exploring.
Hahnenklee is within walking distance and offers a wide range of restaurants and cafés, perfect after long hikes (weekend reservations are recommended). The area also features ski lifts, downhill biking trails, a toboggan run, a bobsleigh track, a high ropes course, a mini-golf course and much more. Shops for daily necessities can be found in Clausthal-Zellerfeld, about five minutes away by car or bus.
