About this property

Barn conversion from 1860, tiny house with terrace, between Munich and Chiemsee!

Our old barn with a cowshed, built in 1866, was completely restored and renovated a few years ago into a residence with an adjoining tiny house (formerly a sheep pen and workshop). A lot of attention to detail went into this!

You’ll have your own little house all to yourselves with a private entrance 🫶
The forest house is right next to our home.
If I’m not there to welcome you in person, you’ll find a key box with a code.

The accommodation has plenty of space for two adults and two children.

Upstairs, there is a bed that is 1.60 m wide. In the living room, you’ll find a comfortable pull-out couch with a spring mattress. It is 1.40 m wide. A cot can be booked as an add-on.

A bread delivery service brings fresh baked goods (upon request) Monday – Friday by 7:30 a.m.
Saturday and Sunday by 8:30 a.m.

Our Waldhaus is a 5-minute drive from the beautiful old town of Rosenheim.

By car:
45 min to Munich
1 h to Salzburg
1.5 hours to Innsbruck

5 minutes to the Rosenheim train station

Rosenheim is a city for coffee and breakfast! So if you don’t feel like cooking yourself, I’d be happy to give you some great tips on where to eat!

Bicycles and e-bikes are available for rent. A bike rental shop is just a few minutes away from our house. About 45 € per day for an e-bike.

The nightly rate is for 2 adults. Each additional person aged 16 or older is 40 euros per night. Bookable for a maximum of 4 people.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft. Alles ist sehr liebevoll, stilvoll und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet – es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Sollte doch einmal etwas gewesen sein, hätte man sich jederzeit an Franzi wenden können.Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und haben uns von Anfang an willkommen und rundum wohlgefühlt. Die Unterkunft war außerdem sehr sauber und gepflegt.Auch die Lage ist einfach toll: Perfekt für Ausflüge zum See, zum Wandern und für viele weitere Unternehmungen in der Umgebung. Wir können die Unterkunft absolut weiterempfehlen und kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Why they chose this property

I grew up in this wonderful place. I spent my childhood there before I moved to Munich for work. I now live here again in this beautiful place. I love the silence at night and the fresh air. I love not hearing cars, smog or noise.

I can recharge my batteries here. My family also lives here. we are looking forward to our future guests!

What makes this property unique

the forest house is in a cul-de-sac in a private street. my parents and my brother and his family live here with me. it's a wasteland - one of the most beautiful spots in the region.
we have only 5 minutes to the historic town, or 10 minutes to the railway station to munich, salzburg innsbruck each only 1 hour by car.... the mountains cast a spell over you. mountaineering, hiking, cycling, swimming... what more could you want ?
