Located directly on the Ruhr Valley Cycle Path, the area is ideal for scenic bike tours. For more adventure, visit the bike parks in Winterberg, Schmallenberg, or Willingen. Various lakes and outdoor pools invite you to swim, and the Hillebachsee in Niedersfeld features a water ski facility for extra fun. Or simply unwind in the blooming garden, listen to birdsong, and enjoy a good book.
In winter, the ski resorts of Winterberg and Willingen are just a 15-minute drive away. Local ski rentals make it easy to enjoy the slopes without heavy luggage. When snow falls, the Hochsauerland transforms into a sparkling winter wonderland—perfect for snowy walks or building a snowman. Evenings are best spent by the crackling wood stove with board games.
