Not far away is the mountain station of the Seelisberg railway, which takes you to Lake Lucerne, from where you can take a round trip by boat. There is also a supermarket and a post office in the village for your daily needs. If you are looking for the hustle and bustle of a larger city, Lucerne and Zurich can be reached in 30-90 minutes. Your holiday is rounded off by numerous excursion possibilities and other activities, e.g. skiing, hiking, biking, climbing, etc.

Village description: Seelisberg lies on the eastern slope of a mountain whose highest point is Brandegg (1,108 metres above sea level). The village lies around 400 metres above Lake Lucerne and is the northernmost municipality in the canton of Uri. It consists of the parts Sunnenberg, Oberdorf and Unterberg. The lowest point of the municipality lies at 434 metres above sea level on the shores of Lake Lucerne, while the highest point at 2,117 metres above sea level is on the Oberbauenstock.
