High up at 1,800 metres above sea level, surrounded by the impressive mountain scenery of the Drau Valley and the Lienz Dolomites, the Fröschlhütte is situated in a completely peaceful setting. Mountains as far as the eye can see, crisp mountain air, and a unique view make this alpine hut a special retreat for anyone seeking nature, tranquility, and unspoiled beauty.

The Fröschlhütte was completely renovated in 2006 and combines rustic mountain charm with simple, functional amenities —just right for an authentic alpine holiday far away from the hustle and bustle and mass tourism. Two alpine pastures with dining facilities are located nearby and invite you to take a cosy break.

The nearest town is Oberdrauburg, about 17 kilometres away. There you’ll find cafés, restaurants, supermarkets, and shops. The district capital, Lienz, is about 30 kilometres away.

Access is via a roughly 10-kilometer-long, partly steep gravel road. Parking is available right next to the cabin. Pets are warmly welcome at the Fröschlhütte.
