Our cosy, newly renovated holiday apartment offers modern comforts for a relaxing stay. A 65-inch smart TV ensures top-notch entertainment. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you could want—from a microwave and oven to a dishwasher and coffee maker, it’s all there.

Bicycles or motorcycles can be parked safely and out of the rain on the locked property by prior arrangement.

A bakery, the post office, and a hair salon are located in the immediate vicinity (less than 100 m away). Directly across the street is the “Hexenhaus” restaurant, known for its excellent German cuisine.

The town has two discount supermarkets as well as cafés, restaurants, and places serving pizza and kebabs. You’ll also find an auto repair shop, a doctor’s and dentist’s office, and a station for the Harz Narrow-Gauge Railways (HSB)—ideal for conveniently travelling to the Brocken without a car.

In addition, the town features a military and GDR museum, a tank driving school, a hiking outfitter, and the music bar “Alte Schachtel,” which is open almost every weekend. Benneckenstein is also home to an open-air stage where events, theatre performances, and festivals take place regularly in the summer.

Benneckenstein is also an ideal starting point for excursions in the Harz Mountains, such as the Brocken, the half-timbered town of Wernigerode with its castle and aviation museum, the Titan-RT suspension bridge at the Rappbode Dam, the Harz National Park, or the impressive Bode Valley near Thale. The Western town of Pullman City is also just a short drive away.

In winter, numerous cross-country trails in the area are perfect for skiing. You can also reach Braunlage in about 15 minutes—there, you can go downhill skiing with a lift at the Wurmberg.

Pure adventure awaits you at the Rappbode Dam. Here you’ll find the spectacular “Titan-RT” suspension bridge—one of the longest of its kind at around 458 m—as well as attractions like the MegaZipline, Gigaswing, and an observation tower offering an impressive view over the Harz Mountains.

“Hexenbesen” Rothesütte Observation Tower – approx. 3.5 km
A popular viewpoint near the border with Thuringia. From the tower, you have a beautiful view over the Harz forests and can enjoy the region’s peaceful natural surroundings.

Pullman City Harz – approx. 12 km
Germany’s largest Western-themed town offers shows, events, dining, and plenty of activities for the whole family. Here, visitors can experience the Wild West with authentic reenactments and a Western atmosphere.

Schierker Feuerstein Arena – approx. 17 km
A modern event and leisure arena in Schierke. In winter, you can go ice skating or play curling here; in summer, concerts, events, and family programmes take place. It also features an indoor climbing wall and a play area

Wernigerode Castle – approx. 28 km
The famous castle towers high above the colourful half-timbered town of Wernigerode. Visitors can tour the historic museum and enjoy a fantastic view of the town and the Harz Mountains.
