A highlight of the Reden Adventure Park is the spoil pile from the former mine. “Berge” refers to waste rock that was extracted along with the coal from the depths of the mine, and this waste rock formed the spoil pile—an artificial mountain. It rises 90 metres above the surrounding Saar-Kohle Forest. Walkers, hikers, athletes, and cyclists can actively unwind in this unique setting along the Reden Mining Trails and the Recreation and Skating Trail.
