The North Beach in Prerow is also within easy reach and invites you to swim, sunbathe, and take a stroll.
Right outside the door, bike and hiking trails lead through the Darß Forest or along the Bodden. Watch cranes in the fall, take a tour of the Bodden, or enjoy the tranquility of the small harbour in Wieck. Cafés, fish smokehouses, and small shops provide an authentic holiday atmosphere and are within walking distance. The surrounding towns, with their harbours, museums, and thatched-roof houses typical of the region, are also worth a visit. Especially in the summer, there’s a wide variety of events, including concerts, the traditional “Tonnenabschlagen” barrel-breaking ceremony, the medieval market in Dierhagen, and small local markets.
